The walking trail overlooking Mississippi river was not just a photo-op but an opportunity to connect with nature without driving out of town!
The only 'negative': The river flows adjacent to a major highway. One can continue to hear the din of highway traffic on the nature-trailWritten October 20, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Prairies are fire dependent ecosystems so controlled burns are necessary to preserve the native plants found here. Don't expect mowed grass and benches. This park's single worn path needs to be stepped off of to see the diverse native wildflowers still found here. Watch out and dress for poison ivy though.Written July 8, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
