- Nathan S4 contributionsGreat park and very scenic. It was nice to get off the beaten path and enjoy some northern Michigan beauty.Written February 18, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ALLSLCSalt Lake City, UT505 contributionsWent after the Nature Center was closed so no one was there. Went out for a hike along the trails to look at the river. Very pretty, well maintained trail, quiet. It was fall so too cold for mosquitoes but I'm guessing it's a nightmare during the spring/summer due to the standing water, be aware. Bathrooms open even though everything else closed, don't know if they stay open all winter or not.Written October 5, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joel PTraverse City, MI18 contributionsWell marked and gently rolling pathway that often provides an opportunity to see wildlife up close. We enjoy this area once or twice a year.Written January 16, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Doc3100Traverse City, MI158 contributionsOur family does a lot of hiking in the woods and stopped here once. It is a large parcel of woods with marked trails but there is little to see. It almost has the "hamster on wheel" syndrome. It's parking lot is awkward placed net to a difficult intersection and along a little used train track. On one side, it is bordered by the State Park and on the other side by and Industrial Park. When you compare a walk through the Reffitt to a walk through the old State Hospital woods, there is no comparison. It is a beautiful parcel that has potential. In its current status, I would recommend hiking in any of the other nature areas in the region.Written July 25, 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
