I love visiting stuff like this! The history of it was awesome to learn. Get there before they sell the other building to make a hotel out of it.

Front Street has quite the variety of shops. From restaurants and bookstores to ice cream and clothing, there's lots to see - and buy!

Beautiful view, quality charcuterie, and nice wines. I find Mari wines softer on the palate than many other NW Michigan wines. I am a dog lover, and I am glad that they accept dogs. When I had a dog (now departed), she was well-trained and self-disciplined. Unfortunately, yesterday's experienced was repeatedly disrupted a couple brought in two large undisciplined dogs that acted in a loud and aggressive manner towards me and others. I wish all dog owners would properly train and socialize their dogs. Fortunately, the management asked those two dog owners to remove their dogs. The other, kinder and gentler dogs got to stay. Kudos to the manager for dealing with the situation appropriately.

We went there for wine tasting. I recommend going in fine weather, as then you can sit outdoors and enjoy the view of the vineyard. I love the wine glass trees.

Panoramic view overlooking the lake on both side will add to the experience. Great service, fantastic scenery and a walk thru vineyard are all great. Highly recommend!

My adult female cousins group spent three perfect nights at the Brys Estate private guest house (bookable on their website). Every expectation was exceeded, from our welcome (we felt like VIPs) checking in at the winery and being led to our corner table on the scenic elevated deck) to the immaculately decorated and clean house itself (the owners renovated a tractor barn, turning it into a storybook setting cottage with gorgeous views of the vineyard and bay). As guests of the estate we enjoyed a treasure trove of complimentary goodies as well, including bottled wine, wine flights, glasses of wine, a charcuterie board, lavender-scented bath and body goodies from the Secret Garden shop, and a basket of welcome treats. The setting and customer service made our stay one for the memory books. I would return in a second, given the chance.

We enjoyed drinks at the bar. The staff was friendly. The lemonade slush was amazing. Lots of people came in to get slushes to go. If you haven’t had their lemonade slush, you need to!

We lucked out and found parking in Lot C across Bay Street. It cost $1.25 an hour to park. There was a tunnel you could walk through to access the beach (under the very busy street).

There is a concession stand and bathrooms. There is sand... Not tons... But enough. Beyond the sand is grass. Watch out for the droppings. Then beyond the grass is sidewalk that many were biking on.

The water was quite clean despite the reviews claiming sewage dumps. We lucked out and snagged a couple of the adirondack chairs that were there. The water was cold but you got used to it. It was quite refreshing on such a hot day.

We stayed for a couple of hours then walked to Front street to have lunch. Very close to all the shops and eateries on Front street.

Would definitely recommend. Dog friendly in certain areas.

We spent several hours driving around the bay.
There were some beautiful homes on one side, and even more beautiful views of the bay and surrounding area on the other.
A truly pleasurable way to spend an afternoon.

Best collection I've seen of Inuit art outside of Alaska. Well displayed and very original and exciting pieces. I was very impressed.

For commuting, shopping, or errands, we use the TART trail five days a week and find it a jewel of the Traverse City community.

At the top of the peninsula, this is one of the more modern wineries I have been too. The building is overlooking the lake on top of a hill with all glass walls. We were able to sneak in without having reservations for a tasting, but highly recommended as space is limited. They had preselected flights to choose from both dry and sweet. We ended up not leaving with a bottle, but quickly regretted it and came back for the bottle of the Riesling. Beautiful place, and great place to go with a group.

Nice tasting room next to The Commons. My daughters and I went there on our TC Uncorked Weekend. We enjoyed the tasting and our server was knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend the Cinnamon Girl cider. It’s delicious. Would def return.
