Very family friendly place to visit, many options if you want to hike, but easy to walk paved paths if you don't.
We visited Mackinac Island and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, but in all our travels, Tahquamenon Falls was the absolute family favorite.

The drive itself is beautiful, the lighthouse is unique and there is a nice beach there were many children and families were playing and sunbathing.
There is also a recreation of how the lighthouse keepers, and their families; lived in home attached to the structure.

Nice books for adults and children alike.
Excellent place to visit with inquisitive youngsters from 6 and up, though may not be suitable for hyperactive children who prefer to waste their time on video games.
Crisp Point Lighthouse Newberry 13.5 mi away

Our children (ages 18, 15 and 9) loved looking through all the fantastic, colorful rocks.
The lighthouse was stunning , and the beach with its colored round stones was very popular with the kids in our group.
