The tour guide was very knowledgeable. I have seen 14 capitols. This was one of the better tours. We got to peek in the Governor’s office, saw the House and Senate from the balcony and the old Supreme Court. One negative was that the liberty bell replica is not viewable to the public. It is in Constitution Hall. However, the security guard was able to call someone to get us an escort to see the bell.

Very nice museum that chronicles the history of Michigan from early Indian settlers to the 20th century. Docent Ross provided us with a lot of information.

My car lover husband really enjoyed it. He said he learned some new things and got to see a lot of great vehicles. We took the free 1pm tour and got to be hands-on with a few more things than the average visitor. They had 2 vehicles you could sit in and take pictures and some great displays.

Great little zoo. Beautiful grounds. A little challenging terrain, especially towards the elk. Nice place to spend an afternoon or a day, if you're like me. Would definitely be a member if I lived in the area.

Staff was very engaging, helpful and personable.

A nice variety and some unique species. Well done habitats though some areas need updated but it's obviously evolving with new enclosures/habitats in progress. Intimate space with close proximity to many of the inhabitants.

Only negative was that just about every school district in the area had their zoo day the day I was there. In fact, I heard several people comment in line that they had never seen so many people there. Good part was, they were pretty well cleared out by noon and it became a quiet, peaceful afternoon.

I saw some other reviews say kids older than 6 would be bored but my 10 year old loved it! They had a Scooby-doo special exhibit and had so many great hands on science stations! They had special areas for little kids but still lots for older kids too. Even my 40ish year old husband had fun with the paper airplanes and the 'how fast is your throw' station.

Walked from Waverly rd trail head to dodge Park trailhead , then from dodge Park to clippers st trailhead . 17.24 miles total 5 hrs 27 minutes. Most of the trail is very nice except the downtown river walk, lots of homeless , alcohol containers all over , smells like pot and urine . Detours at Michigan Ave to shiawassee , had to walk through lots of people. Only problems were downtown . Shopping carts , tents under bridges , blankets and sleeping bags all over the place and lots of trash .

Lansing has never been a favorite city of mine, but being a big baseball fan I had to see a Lugnuts game. The park is a little better than your average A ball stadium. They have a small area with a Michigan Baseball Hall of Fame which is cool. No netting either, another plus. The foul poles are very short, only around 305 feet.
Maybe I’ll go again next year.

The captain is a funny guy, telling stories and keeping his patrons happy. An easy cruise up and down the river. We were there for a buffet with a company and it was very good. They have a small bar and I understand some cruises feature live music. Relaxing to sit anywhere on the deck with a drink. I would go for an event for sure.

The Turner-Dodge House is part of Lansing's state park system. You can book a tour for only $5 per person and learn about the people involved in the early days of Lansing as well as receive a tour of Lansing's finest mansion.

This is the second visit to this establishment. Loved it both times. I am particularly addicted to the Shrimp and Grits. My husband tries different things and all have been wonderful. Service both times was pretty slow and waitresses were rather overworked/inattentive, but worth it because we love the food.

The snow tubing setup is really great. Nice professional people. Had a long wait time though. Snacks and hot coffee available.
