- TiffanyjimMarion, IA1,661 contributionsAbsolutely incredible! Went with family and we all walked out to the lighthouses on the pier. Nice warm calm day in August. We paid $11 to get into the state park for the day and also hit Holland State Park with the same one day entry. Beach is beautiful right up the pier with a camp ground on the sand. Definitely will come back here.Written August 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ken kOnsted, MI4,324 contributionsThis is s beautiful state park which is located on lake Michigan. To get a site here you must apply in January in a lottery. It is very popular and sites are limited. All sites are on black top.Written June 26, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RunningGirl14Missouri196 contributionsWhat a great place with breathtaking views, and wonderful walking path. There are some steps, but nothing too bad. There are also some really tall amazing trees.Written May 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Denise RThree Rivers, MI49 contributionsSitting along the water listening to the music watching the fountain with family was great. We were camping and our daughter and son-in-law came up with grand-daughters, and our granddaughter brought our great-grandbabies over and we all went to watch the fountain.Written August 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Hi183765Saint Charles, MO83 contributionsInteresting small town museum. Loved that it was open late (read past 5 p.m.) on a Friday night, when most other “attractions” were closed. Has the local lighthouse’s fresnel lens.Written June 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- John KChesaning, MI240 contributionsIt's not part of the Gilmore museum but you car walk to it. I personally didn't find it interesting I expected miniature cars. But if you like this stuff you might like the visit.Written October 20, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jen TravelsDetroit, MI6,781 contributionsThe GPS puts you away farther down than where you'll find the signage for this park. It seems to be more down towards the lighthouse than down by all the shops and restaurants.
There is lush greenery lined along the sidewalk. There are benches to sit on.
I'd recommend being careful if you have small kids, as the sides of the pier going down to the lighthouse are not fenced.
There were people jumping off into the water, but they have stairs going up both sides of the pier so have fun and stay safe, as no lifeguard was present (probably due to time of day----->mid evening.
The most stunning views walking down the pier. Plenty of room for everyone to walk, including dogs.
And it's mostly paved, but one area is covered in sand.
I'd say my only "complaint" was whomever let their dog 💩 all down the pier and didn't clean it up. How inconsiderate 😵💫
But if you can make the walk, do it.Written August 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jacob HGrand Rapids, MI1 contributionI’ve been here a couple of times. Great wine, great chocolate flights, and even better atmosphere. I also was able to meet the owner who is an amazing guy - very knowledgeable!Written July 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jen TravelsDetroit, MI6,781 contributionsSmall but beautiful park with breathtaking views and weather.
Walking along the boardwalk in this park made me feel like this is the kind of town I've always wanted to live in........quaint, lots of history, friendly people, stunning views.
There are monuments and statues explaining about the Coast Guard and about military lives lost yet honored, and loads of beautiful foliage.
If you want a wonderful place to sit and enjoy people watching or walking your dog, this is it and down a long each side.
Paved walkways, benches to sit on, safe distance from the street.Written August 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This is in a park setting and you can sit on the lawn to people watch or picnic. Located past the beach and lighthouse near downtown. Nice to see trains if in Grand Haven!Written August 1, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- OttakeeGrand Haven22 contributionsThis is a nice place for a short hike. There are 4 small loops that you can combine to make about 4 miles total. Three doe followed us for a while before scampering up the dunes...only to be seen later on the other side. Just a note, as of right now the restrooms are only open for classroom trips. etc. They are locked most of the time so plan ahead.Written May 14, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
