We take the lighthouse tour, complete the scavenger hunt (with our children), climb up to the light, find rocks on the Lake Michigan beach (there is public access right next to the lighthouse), and buy items in th...
Frankfort Beach
#2 of 9 things to do in Frankfort
And this is a wonderful place to watch the sunset!! Also, if your family enjoys volleyball, the city provides multiple nets at various points on the beach.
This beach is clean, has a great kid playing area and benches to relax on while being mesmerized by the sunset.
The Frankfort Light
#3 of 9 things to do in Frankfort
We visited at a very busy time of the year so there were a lot of kids diving off the pier but the morning walk is very relaxing and the views are great.
Very clean, and family-friendly.

Spend some time doing this drive, its beautiful and really highlights the amazing park! Kids loved the stops, make sure and grab a guide on your way in so you know wheat is at each marked stop along the trail.
... have a family member drive to north bar lake at the base of the dune head south down the beach and meet your family for a great picnic and swim in Lake Michigan and north bar lake best family outing for all ages

Arcadia Overlook Arcadia, MI 6.7 mi away
#1 of 6 things to do in Arcadia
It used to thrill me as a child driving south on M22; it looked as if we would drive off the hill and into the water.
The stairs might be a steep climb for small children or the elderly.
