- suespagnuoloLansing, MI2,503 contributionsHubby and I stopped at Point Betsie on our color cruise. I highly recommend this. The views are beautiful and the docent was very knowledgeable. Love everything about it.Written October 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ThomasTCatSt. Louis, MO781 contributionsWe took a special trip around Crystal Lake, and it was such a beautiful drive. The beach looked lovely, and there is such a variety of houses all along the lakeside. There is a cute playground on the beach when you get to Main Street and several restaurants to grab a bite to eat, but some of them close very early.Written September 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jim FAlgonac, MI35 contributionsI rode the trail starting in Frankfort and went to Beulah and back. Great scenic ride on a very well maintained trail. Glad I took my bike north with me. Pretty level and easy ride for most people and bikes. Some light pedestrian traffic as well. Be careful crossing M-115.Written September 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MidwestKathMDetroit, MI1,131 contributionsLate afternoon on a weekday in August. Sun was shining bright. The azure blue sky was icing on the cake! The white sand was brilliant. Not many people on the beach. We walked out the pier enjoying the waves rolling in, the rippled sand beneath the surface...so beautiful to see nature's way under the water! Saw scores of alewives along the pier so the few fisherman we saw were having some success on this day. Made it to the lighthouse which is not open. Nice to see some boats going out and coming in. Nice stroll to end our visit to Frankfort.Written October 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ken kOnsted, MI4,297 contributionsIf you’re looming for a nice 1/2 hour walk and you want a little exercise this is perfect. It is all pretty much flat and wide enough for two people . Halfway through it turns to the left and gets a little thinner. There are a few lifesaver rings on the way to the lighthouse. The lighthouse itself could use some updating. They are now taking donations. If waves are crashing over turn around, you could be swept in.Written September 9, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Elizabeth T1 contributionMy friends and I were blown away by our visit. Ellie is an incredibly gifted artist and lovely, lovely person. It was such a gift to walk through her studio/home and hear directly from her about what inspires the joyous, gorgeous and transformative pieces that surrounded us.
What a treasure to have an artist of her caliber and heart right in charming Frankfort. The exhibit rooms are full of natural lighting, and the current exhibit was well displayed and featured a variety of media. The staff were wonderfully friendly and made our visit special. One person gave us a tour of the building. If you're going to be there in summer, you might look into their many short courses in drawing, painting, and other arts.Written June 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
