We did not go into the museum (not enough time). The shop is lovely focusing on American hand crafted jewelry, pottery, art etc. which I very much appreciate. The buyer does a terrific job of selecting some of our countries best and affordable artists.

Okay I work there, so I'm biased, but the building, formerly the Russell Library, is exquisite inside. A peaceful place to view artwork, sometimes they have kids shows. It is run mostly by volunteers. I teach ceramics there and it's the highlight of my week. Another perk is the center's location. Beautiful views of the ocean at the end of the street. Within walking distance of the harbor as well as downtown Plymouth. Quaint, picturesque....

So much fun! My 10 year old loves anything "scavenger-hunt" and he had a great time finding and looking at all the different scallops. Each one had a fun design and were very creative. You can get a map to find all the scallops at the visitor center in Plymouth.

Throughout the summer this market brings locals together with a good variety of home grown and homemade goodness. The atmosphere is always ‘family’ and unmistakably New England. I send all my Airbnb guests to visit the town and the market for a true experience.

I was looking at the brochure and by the name and the description on the card "....the unique collection of specialty shops..." What a hair salon, a barber shop, a florist, a yarn shop and a closed restaurant is what I saw. Don't waste your time. It's no market place. The parking is free.

While walking between Plymouth Rock and Mayflower II, we came upon the two bullrings that comprise the Mayflower II Gift Shop.

Inside both buildings, we found high-quality souvenirs and gift items relating not only to the Mayflower and Plymouth Rock but also reproductions of 17th century items such as candle holders, two-handled mugs, and various pottery items as well as green glass pitchers, vases, and bottles.

We also saw several styles of T-shirts fleece jackets, and vests.

We browsed books that included Heritage Baking, Colonial History, English History, Local & Regional History, History of the Narragansett Tribe, and children’s books.

One personal care item of interest was all-natural Balsam Breeze Soap bar made with shea butter, olive oil, essential oils, herbs and color. It was vegan, gluten-free, and cruelty-free. It was $5.75. I’d seen it on the store web page. It was sold out when we visited.

I got a hat tac of the Mayflower at $7.50. It quite different from most souvenir hat tacs. The Mayflower slid across a horizontal slot in the ocean.

In the other store, I got a Mayflower Magnet at $7.95 to put on the refrigerator at home.

    My friend got several items.

We were pleased with our purchases.

For the variety and quality of the Plymouth and Mayflower-related items offered, we rate the Mayflower II Gift Shop at 5.0 and highly recommend a visit.

I have visited Icing in Colony Place a couple of times, my most recent visit being last week January 2014. A woman named Lynn who I believe is the manager was working the last time my boyfriend and I went into the store. Lynn was extremely kind and helpful and was so nice that it made me want to write this review. Lynn should be recognized for her compassion and dedication to giving excellent customer service.

Better Times is full of old collectibles. Everything from vinyl records to jukeboxes to pinball machines. They sell old posters. They sell candy. They sell candy and soda drinks and much more. If you're in Plymouth that's the place to go.

After a day of sightseeing in Plymouth, we stopped by West Plymouth Square to shop at the Dollar Tree where my friend picked up some needed greeting cards and a couple things for household use.

We found this Dollar tree to be well-stocked. The sales associates were nice.

While there, we saw Papa Gino's, Ocean Chef Chinese Restaurant, High Limb Tap Room & Cidery that would also be of interest to travelers. And, there was a notice that G Pub was coming soon.

This was not a major shopping mall with a lot of popular retailers. It was more of a plaza with local service business and a good selection of restaurants.

We rate West Plymouth Square at a good 3.25.
