What travelers are saying
- Connie LHouston, TX199 contributionsWe were fortunate to see a small group of mares and a single stallion. The stallion was right by the road, and looked like he was posing for us! Even if you don't see the horses, the views from this loop are stupendous!Written July 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - bd WWY262 contributionsScenic, paved, although Flaming Gorge is seen closer to the Utah State Line. Many gravel roads take you directly the excellent fishing of the Gorge. - bd WWY262 contributionsA good paved (2-lane) road into Utah. The Gorge is viewable closer to Dutch John, UT. Scenic byway - wild horses, elk or deer sometimes seen.Written July 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rick TCampbell River, Canada30 contributionsWell preserved petroglyph by BLM. A short hike to them. A major amount of dirt road to get there. Take a vehicle with good clearance.Written August 4, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Includes displays on military, police jails, coal mining and medical that are applicable to any town.Written July 22, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - RSWhite1Cheyenne, WY35 contributionsBreathtaking views, different around every corner. Antelope, badgers but the best was the 6 horse mustang family on our way out. Yes, even in good weather 4 wheel drive is necessary. My question for locals, I would love the history of the JCG headstone pictured here. Sorry the mustang were captured on video and won't let me load.Written August 29, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - revG777Wausau, WI292 contributionsIt's a very nice park with a bridge across the river. It just so happened that a tour bus showed up when we were there, so we were able to listen in on the historical significance of that section of the river.Written June 26, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DillonM1905Laramie, WY383 contributionsThe Boars Tusk is in the middle of nowhere north of Rock Springs. Probably best to drive out in a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Very interesting rock formation to walk around and appreciate the desert scenery and wildlife.Written May 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Laurie B7 contributionsI went expecting a pleasant afternoon and found more than I had anticipated. There is a wonderful collection of art, much more extensive than I thought I would find in Rock Springs. The four of us kept circling through, finding gems and reading about the artists and the history behind the art and the town. The curator was knowledgeable and friendly and provided even more background information. We purchased several things at the gift shop and would have liked to have spent more time, perhaps in the library section filled with art books. Highly recommend.Written October 24, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Ulysses_AlmeidaRock Springs, WY5 contributionsAwesome spot, very relaxing and full of good people. - Amy BJohnstown, CO759 contributionsThis facility is beautiful and the pool area for kids simply amazing especially if you’ve been driving all day and kids need to play. I’m giving them 2 stars because the rec center is open until 8pm, but they close the pool at 530🤦♀️. Super frustrating when we planned on spending a few hours here based on the web pages posting of hours. Good thing we decided to come before dinner instead of afterwards!Written May 28, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Phil PRock Springs, WY16 contributionsVery nice variety of furnishings, and collectibles... I purchased a roll-top desk, and a three-drawer chest. More items in this store than the storefront suggests. Could just enjoy a liesurely look around at everything....if you need a break from driving.Written August 29, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - James MDuluth, MN28 contributionsNot much there. It will pick up a bit at Christmas, but this is not your big city mall. It is a little sad seeing all the stores move out.Written November 4, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Shane WRock Springs, WY267 contributionsThis is a great place to get off of the highway and walk around for a bit. There are some nice signs explaining what you are looking at and the spot was very quiet when I was there. Despite being so close to I-80, it can be a bit tough to find unless you know where to look. I would recommend stopping at the Conoco, where they seem to enjoy history and can point it out.Written August 14, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
