Cape Cod Museum of Natural History

Everything about the museum - from Nature Walks and Mudflat Mania to the beekeeping experience and the butterfly house, as well as the informative and interesting museum exhibits, - is engaging for a variety of ages.
We enjoyed the Cape Cod Natural History Museum, learning about the indigenous peoples of Cape Cod, seeing the variety of sea creatures in the region, the live Osprey video feed, and going into the butterfly house.

Our 9-year-old loved the little museum upstairs, where she got to weave on a loom.
The museum was not open at the time and the herring were not running.

Both the science and human drama is all brought back to life in one of the best museums and its education center we’ve ever visited.
Beginning with the first wireless ship to shore radios using Morse Code and teletype, through two world wars, code breaking and maritime shipping, the people who guide you through this museum are knowledgeable and...

I am a sucker for museums and places of information so my review should be taken with a pinch of salt.
A pleasant mile hike around the salt marshes awaits you on the outside, while inside there are incredible exhibits that include educational short movies, a museum of items from the cape and its whaling history, as...

I was initially concerned about the twins, who tire of museums very quickly but a lovely lady working at the front desk gave them each a scavenger hunt sheet with pictures of items from all around the museum to ti...
The museum is an Aladdin’s Cave of treasures – it is very engaging and will suit a wide variety of tastes from history, local interest, nature and art.

I don’t know how to compare the presentations, other than to say this is far and away superior to the NYC transit museum layout in Grand Central terminal during the holidays.

The museum is a fascinating place to visit to learn about the early trans Atlantic communications and the role that Orleans played in that early history.
Real museum professionals will likely have an anxiety attack at the somewhat informal approach to display and preservation.

This is a small museum with an interesting selection of art and artists (including wonderful pieces by Boghesian and Barbey, and a lovely sculpture of Eleanor Roosevelt), and very friendly and helpful staff.
With a wonderful old theater [showing first run movies under its domed ceiling], many are drawn to the space who might otherwise have missed the Art Museum.

This year's theme centers on Wunderkammers, the 15th century tradition of galleries, a predecessor of our modern-day museums.
Our docent was a font of knowledge and an engaging guide and the museum itself is a small masterpiece of imaginative, immersive design.
