- kguz2015Baltimore, MD61 contributionsMy husband and I came here for a 60 minute couples massage for our 8th wedding anniversary weekend in St. Michaels. The massage was phenomenal!! We arrived early and were able to hang out at the pool for a few hours. After the pool, we headed up to the Spa and were able to take showers prior to our service. The locker room was cozy and had all of the toiletries one would need. The shower was AMAZING! The shower has 7 different shower heads: rain shower and 3 heads on each side of the walls. The pressure was great and it was refreshing. The Spa atmosphere was extremely relaxing.
After showering, we waited in the waiting area where we could have tea or fruit infused ice water.
Let me tell you.... I surprised my husband with the couples massage and he shared that this was the best massage he ever had. We get massages frequently but the added features of the hot towel on the feet and behind the neck was the perfect addition.
I don't remember the names of the ladies who did our massages but my hubby and I were both snoring; the ultimate compliment to a masseuseWritten September 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The spa staff were most professional and welcoming us off-the-street. We booked massages, which were excellent; and enjoyed the relaxation room and changing area. All very clean and well-appointed. Would return if in the area again.Written June 25, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- 178karanMason,22 contributionsSadly the pictures on their website are from their previous location and in way represent the current client experience. All their responses from customer reviews claim they are in the middle of a remodel. However they had been at their current location for 6 months when my husband and I visited. It hasn't been remodeled since the 90s. I can overlook dated decor but cannot ignore unprofessional behavior. In the middle of our massage the door was opened by an unknown person who came into the room to relay a message. We were undressed during this time. Linens from the previous client were balled up in a chair in the room. The music came from someone's cell phone and in the middle of our massage they were getting notification alerts that interrupted the music. They were trying to have conversations with us during the massage. Seemed very unaware of how relaxation works. The water for our pedicures was cold and was just water. I never got the leg massage or hot towels. She didn't completely remove my old polish before applying new polish. They were having conversations between each other and one person came in and started reorganizing things. It seemed like no one was trained for the jobs they were doing. No one was concerned about the spa experience. Linoleum on the floor is crumpled up and not properly laid. Wallpaper is peeling off, contact paper has been stuck to random parts of the walls and that is also starting to fall off. The blinds are broken and there are holes in the walls. There are mouse traps in the bathrooms. Instead of trying to improve the customer experience the entire staff is hanging out at the reception desk eating. There Seems to be no awareness of the fact that this is someone's livelihood and the owner/manager seems inherently unaware of the fact that their money is being wasted and their reputation is being ruined by careless/lazy staff. It had a frat house feel not a spa feel.Written July 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Brian D4 contributionsWe booked massages over the phone before we arrived at the Inn for our two night stay.
The "spa" was a hallway upstairs in the main house with a few treatment rooms. Waiting room offered no decor, beverages, music, robes,...nothing you'd expect to see in a spa while waiting for a treatment. Treatment rooms were pleasant and massage was ok. The pool/steam rooms were located downstairs, no where near the treatment areas, and we did not choose to experience either.Written August 2, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
