What travelers are saying
- siralex1Gerrards Cross, UK691 contributionsVery busy with walkers, and thankfully very few inconsiderate cyclists who plague country trails with their No Bell bikes.
Birdlife activity was lower because of how busy it was but the whole area is well maintained and a very pleasant 2.5 mile walkWritten June 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - siralex1Gerrards Cross, UK691 contributionsMixed woodland walk along the river ending at beautiful Lake Elkhorn. Plenty of birdlife including a pair of Osprey over the lake dam.
Highly recommended for families as there is plenty of shade.Written June 24, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Jennifer MPhiladelphia, PA95 contributionsGreat place for families! The center is sparkling clean, interactive, and had some live animals (frog, turtles, and snake (we didn't get to see them this time around). Our visit was short since we had reservations elsewhere, but we would definitely come back. There are outside trails and a playground that we didn't get to. Nice gift shop at the entrance as well. We came right when it opened at 9am, and it was nice to have the place to ourselves for the first 30 min.
Generous parking!Written May 25, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Maggie1875Eldersburg, MD268 contributionsOn Thursday they have a children's program at the Mall that is free. It is geared to kids 5 and under. Miss Julie is the lady that runs the event. It is free and well worth the trip!.My grand daughter loves it and looks forward to it every week! 10:00 AMWritten February 23, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mark GCatonsville, MD2,572 contributionsOur 1st trip to Hysteria was a success with all 5 of us agreeing that a return trip would be great. They had a food truck in the parking lot from Bullhead Pit Beef and their kitchen was set up to the right as you walked in. They offer quite a few options and my wife loved her pit turkey sandwich, my burnt ends were pretty good and the Old Bay fries were outstanding. The brewery had about 8 offerings including a couple sours and a cider. The pale wheat ale and the American IPA were OK, but the spiced Pumpkin ale was incredible and would be my go to beer if available on our next visit. The place is very family friendly, as well as dog friendly, with great service and a comfortable atmosphere. They have outdoor seating in the parking lot and regular activities weekly.Written March 5, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mdjohnson0819Bowie, MD916 contributionsFirst time here and will definately go again. Great service, nice finger food, seating gives you ample space unlike other comedy venues. Get there early as seating is first come first seated unless you purchase VIP.Written January 8, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- RAKfromMDBurtonsville, MD716 contributionsWe have heard of this place but we had not had a chance to visit. Hard to believe that it’s been open just over three years. The owner gave us a tour and we got to taste and sample five of their liquors. The spiced rum was our favorite! They are working on expanding their distillery area as well as the bar area. Looks like a great place for people to rent out for a party or work event. We will definitely be back.Written January 19, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mark GCatonsville, MD2,572 contributionsOff Snowden River Pkwy in an industrial park with little signage was about the only negative I could find with Black Flag. Inside it is a little utilitarian with tables and chairs as well as a long bar area. There were flight slips to fill out if you wanted right at the front door which was nice. The flights were $12 for 5 and we loved the Vanilla Porter, while the Lager, Coffee Glen Cocoa, K. Kapowski and Dunkel were all pretty good. Everyone we encountered behind the bar was fantastic and the food truck that evening, Pinky's BBQ was excellent. My wife and I loved our pit ham sandwiches ($9) that came with a great rub and soft roll and the North Georgia Gold BBQ sauce we chose on the side. They have 15 beers on tap as well as a sour and though they only carry light snacks they have a delivery relationship with a very good pizza place, Homesylce across the street. The rest of our party gave Pinky's high marks on their pit beef, fries, and corn dish. Closed on Monday. Nice laid back atmosphere and we all look forward to a return visit.Written February 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Thomas - Genevi... HHigham, Suffolk, UK950 contributionsThe Patuxent Branch Trail links Lake Elkhorn to Savage Mill. Multiple parking areas exist along the 4.2 mile total length of the trail (although the final 0.7 miles between Vollenhausen Rd and Savage Mill is non-paved trail).
The free parking area that directly is associated with this review (at Guilford road) is located not-quite in the center of the trail (it is 2 miles from Lake Elkhorn and 2.2 miles from Savage Mill). The major landmark at this parking area is the old rail bridge, which is well worth a few pictures!
Overall, you can easily get 10-12 miles by doing an out and back in each direction and adding the 1.9 mile Lake Elkhorn loop.Written January 2, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - savytraverlor43323Lino Lakes, MN413 contributionsWe went here on a Thursday night and the place was pretty busy. The place is bright and airy and is pleasant to be in. They don't offer food here but there is a food truck outside that sells pizzas. The wait staff is friendly and helpful. I am not much of a beer drinker and she helped me pick out one I might like. She also offered some samples.Written January 14, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Linda OGlenwood, MD61 contributionsI love old buildings--it's well-kept. Have attended various events here. The manor house is nice. Have also used the tent outside in the back. Great place for an event.Written December 6, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- joegearth1Columbia, MD32 contributionsNice friendly club with multiple classes , indoor pool, gym and several weight and exercise equipment rooms. The main gym upstairs does not have enough floor space .Written November 9, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Manish_G_LiveLaurel, MD61 contributionsFor Hindus and other Hindu religion followers it's very conveniently located close to Howard county and eastern Montgomery county. The temple has been recently upgraded and expanded. They also conduct language and cultural schools and performances. Very quite and serene!Written October 3, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Elizabeth HEllicott City, MD3 contributionsWe had such a great time! It was fun and challenging! It was so fun as a family to work together to solve the clues and win the game! Great teamwork!
