For 6 years we've been enjoying the beaches of Maine in midJuly-early August and our two favorite beaches are Wells Beach and Ogunquit's Footbridge Beach.

There are lots of beautiful beaches along the New England Coast, but I haven't found one nicer than the beach in Ogunquit.

One of those amazing beaches that morphs through out the day from a small, tight sandy beach at high tide to a MASSIVE expanse of beach as the tides rolls out and allows for running, games and tide pool playing.
It is very difficult to park downtown, and parking at Perkins Cove and the beaches is expensive in the summer and on weekends in the fall and spring.
