You have to walk out on a stone breakwater almost a mile long to reach it, and along the way you get a fabulous view of schooners, fishing boats, sea birds, all with Rockland Harbor as a lovely backdrop.
This is 0.8 miles (one-way) along large granite blocks, a wee bit of a challenge, but worth the time and energy - shared views of the harbor ith some dolphins!!!

We walked the paths, swung on the swing hanging from a giant tree, read the history of the lighthouse and went to the top for a great view, and then found a bench on the edge of the rocks to sit and contemplate.
There is a beautiful lighthouse and views, and even a rope swing to try! Great place to stop or tour
