We were amazed at this collection. The range is from "typical" Wyeth works to features of other - very good - artists. Could have spent more than an hour - especially if you go to the adjacent "church"

We enjoyed this museum very much. The exhibits are all in one large room but there is a lot to see. We spent 1.5 hours there. They have a lot of artifacts such as lights and lenses; historical photos; and some large models of certain Maine lighthouses. They have good explanations posted with most items telling how they were used. Some of the descriptions told details about the duties and daily lives of the lighthouse keepers. There are restrooms by the entrance, and a nice gift shop as you exit. Admission was $10, less for seniors.

We were looking forward to our puffin cruise out of Bar Harbor later in the week, so when we saw this place it caught our eye and we went in. They showed a 20-minute film about their research and ongoing efforts to boost the puffin populations in Maine, and it was very interesting and encouraging. The room where the film is shown contains some exhibits about the life of a puffin. There are restrooms and a gift shop.

Very difficult to add anything to the comments of the previous reviewers. We were also lucky to walk in when Captain Jim Sharp was commencing a story and were still enthralled 90 minutes later. The only downside to Jim's enthusiasm for the museum is there are so many other exhibits that you might miss out on. I could certainly have spent more than 4 hours here and would recommend anyone with an interest in Maritime History to visit this museum as well as the Maine Lighthouse Museum which is also in Rockland.

This museum was not only interesting but had such a cool exhibit of pieces of wood made to represent water. You could walk on the paths of wood/water. Not very expensive to get in and worth it.

This is a wonderful place for children to explore! There are many rooms and spaces with a great variety of activities including climbing structures, science and art exploration as well as make believe play. We became members and Olán to travel there again soon!

We stopped here to see the Zen Exhibit. The work was varied with a variety of mediums displayed. It was all spectacular! The owner was engaging, informative and helpful. If you’re into gardening, be sure to check out the Camperdown elm arbor as you approach the gallery.

The first time I visited The Landing gallery was in 2016. We have purchased a piece here every year to commemorate our time sailing in Maine each summer. Everyime we walk by we stop in, and each time the selection is different. Our favorite gallery in Maine.

This is a great gallery with a large variety of work. Being an artist myself it would be the exact place I would want my work to be shown. Wonderful place...

The RHS has a huge amount of information about Rockland and environs. The folks there are enthusiastic and know so much about the area’s history. This is a great stop when visiting downtown Rockland. It is located in the lower level of the beautiful Rockland Public Library.

Impressive works of art that epitomize Maine by several artists in all kinds of mediums. Most of the items were a bit beyond my budget, but they were wonderful to look at.

For the lighthouse lovers this is a gem!
What we didn't like was the time we they were closed for the season. They will re-open in the spring 2015.
