- Pamela A133 contributionsThis is a beautiful gallery in the Old Port. The artwork is displayed well and the variety is great. I went this past Wednesday to hear Colin Page speak. It was an interesting and impressive talk. There was ample time to take in the gallery after the talk.Written July 31, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Daniel PAlfred, ME56 contributionsThe collection changes frequently and the sculpture garden is cool. It's a nice 15 minute diversion all within walking distance of some fun restaurants: Bogusha's, Pickles and Po Boys, Susan's Fish and Chips and Ginza Town to name a few...Written September 17, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Raezyl5 contributionsWhat a wonderful show! The contrast between the 2 main artists in this gallery, a classical realist and an impressionistic colorist, is something to see. And the sculptures are stunning!Written October 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- NHjoSaco, ME13,733 contributionsWe reallly enjoyed looking at the beautiful oil paintings. There are lots of great artists represented here, both international and local. - J DBurgess Hill, UK3 contributionsDanielle, the gallery owner, makes beautiful, contemporary abstract expressionist paintings of Peaks Island that really capture the soul of the place.
She also chooses to feature artists from the greater area, including many from Peaks itself. It distinguishes itself in terms of fresh perspectives on local landscapes and distinctive single-artist shows.
It's a small gallery and totally worth a visit when on island.Written February 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. One very different type of art was by an artist who made collages of sizable insects such as large beetles.
Another artist made bead jewelry.
An artwork I particularly liked was a very realistic landscape painting on two canvases. The top canvas depicted a bridge that appeared to be a railroad trestle. The lower panel was a pair of parallel train tracks which lined up exactly with train tracks running under the trestle in the panel above. I thought the composition was quite clever.
I rate Arcana at 4.50 and can recommend a visit.
The reason for the delay in submitting this review was due to a months-long loss of my ability to post photos with my reviews.

- NHjoSaco, ME13,733 contributionsI'm surprised there aren't more reviews for this place, seeing that it's in Old Port and there were tourists from two cruise ships when we went. The pottery and glassware are beautiful and very high quality (with prices to match). We especially loved the brown stoneware and the colorful glass buoys, but everything was exquisite. All the items are crafted by Maine artists.Written October 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
