I highly recommend Northeast Snowmobile and ATV Rentals for anyone looking to experience a thrill, try something new, or just enjoy the serenity afforded by the seemingly endless, natural beauty of the wooded, rural trail system abutting the rental shop. They offer safe, quality rentals at a fair and reasonable price, while, providing courteous, professional and personalized service based on your needs and experience level. Before you head out, the staff provides you suggested trail routes that will meet your time constraints and abilities. They also offer thorough training in the usage of the snowmobiles, as well as an understanding of their safety protocols which include GPS devices on the vehicles so they can always come and find you if you need assistance.

Whether you are a first-time or life-long snowmobiler, this is the place to go in New England for an incredible and unforgettable, outdoor experience. There are endless miles of trail systems connected to the rental shop. Due to the sheer, combined distance of the surrounding, interconnected trail systems, you could ride for an entire day and not run out of new trails or terrain to choose from that can conform to your experience and comfortability level.

Northeast Snowmobile and ATV Rentals is a locally-owned and operated family business that is based out of the former owners’ home, which is located in the heart of small, quaint and historic downtown Fryeburg, Maine. This town of 3,500 is nestled among pristine, dense, forested hills and the winding waterways that flow from the nearby, magnificent White Mountains of New Hampshire which provide sanctuary for a variety of wildlife such as Moose, Bear, Beaver and Bald Eagles, and the ecosystems that sustain them and us. In addition to spotting wildlife while out riding, you can also see mountains, rivers and an abundance of plant life. This is the real New England, the way it used to be. You even get to ride your snowmobile over over an historic, New England Covered Bridge spanning one of the many scenic waterways.

While Fryeburg seems like a world away from the more populated areas of New England, it is incredibly convenient to travel to, just an hour from Portland, Maine and close to New Hampshire, the Whote Mountains and several ski resorts. While just a small town, Fryeburg has created an economy around the endless snowmobilers who visit to take advantage of its spectacular snowmobile trail system, so you can ride your snowmobile to numerous restaurants and shops offering, in some cases, very good food to keep you energized and warm as you explore the backwoods.

Regardless of your age or experience level Northeast Snowmobile and ATV Rentals is the perfect destination to go to, if you are hoping to escape and forget about the stress and anxieties brought about by the conflicts, restrictions, and isolation we have endured for the past year. While all of this increased chaos seems to permeate and smother nearly every aspect of our daily lives, you will not find it here beyond the safety protocols instituted by the rental shop that will ensure every rider can head out for the trails and return home safe, healthy, and enriched from the unforgettable experience and respites they provided.

Perfect for walking, running or biking. Great for all abilities. The trail is just under 4 mile out and back, all paved. Nice bathrooms.

Well, I'll add my two cents to the previous two reviews, Mainemountainbear and MaineMountainOwl, who are the same reviewer, by the way, and who writes very informative reviews. I drove Route 113 from Standish to Fryeburg and it was a beautiful trip -- lots of great forest and mountain views, farms, pocket cemeteries, lakes and ponds, rustic homes and barns and country churches and other stunning historic architecture, etc. I found that it's the simplest and most scenic route to take from Saco, my neck of the woods (or seashore), to the White Mountains area.
