- Tiffany AOpp, AL1,874 contributionsGreat little falls surrounded by a beautiful park (Harbor Park) and gardens, a few benches, view of the harbor. - meri2009Portland, ME7 contributionsCurtis Island Lighthouse is on Curtis Island, at the entrance to Camden Harbor. The Island is owned by the Town of Camden, and the public is welcome to visit, although visitors cannot access the lighthouse. (But you can see the downstairs through the window).
There is a lookout on the mainland, on Bayview St. But the way to see the Island is to get out there by boat. The ways to do this are: kayak, charter (this would include an extended tour of the waters near the harbor and it’s very expensive), private boat, or (and this is the way we go out there) a rowboat that you can rent for $40 a day from Dominic Fontaine. It’s a 1/2 hour row in calm conditions.
Once you are on the Island, there are many things to see: sea birds, the caretaker’s house and grounds, the lighthouse, a swing. And of course, a great perspective of the harbor.
Bring bug spray, water, a flashlight, etc.Written August 15, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - S2sailorTecumseh, MI246 contributionsArrived early and beat the crowd that showed up , filling the parking lot by 12:30pm.
The line for lift tickets and actual ride moved quickly and soon we were on the slow ride up the hill.
Some in our group selected to walk the trails down while others rode the chair.

- cardouGreenwich, CT165 contributionsWe took the circular route. It was a 6 mile hike and rather challenging for elderly people. Great place to sit on the ledge at Bald Mountain and have a picnic lunch.Written October 28, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - to-live-in-EuropeCamden, Maine USA65 contributionsClose to town, clean, flowing, river water from Lake Megunticook. A well-marked dam is located just downstream from the beach. Muddy bottom is pleasant and graduated for young ones and swimmers. Launch your kayak and head upstream to Molyneaux Road bridge and return in an easy 75-90 minutes R/T. Observe birds, turtles, new scenery around each bend. Depth varies from a few feet to 10 or 15' in a few places. With picnic tables, grill, port-o-potty. Parking for about 15-20 cars. Pleasant spot to relax.Written August 16, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
