Next year there will be amazing changes and a lot of activities for visitors, a zip line leaving from the top of the mountain, a gondola ride to the top of the mountain with gorgeous views of the lakes and mountains.
:) We all loved seeing the perspective a skier has just before they go down the ski jump - and the view of the surrounding mountains is great, too.

The site was exceptionally well organized with displays and a self-guided tour accessible via cell phone but the very knowledgeable guide raised it to mandatory first stop on a visit.
Surrounded by refreshing views of the mountains, this location provides a place of peace and contentment like few others!

From the top of new track, you can get a good view of Lake Placid, Whiteface mountain, and ski jumping complex.

We enjoyed this activity very much and the boys were able to romp, climb and well, .... be boys while my husband and I relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful views!
The rafting tours are filled with history and you can enjoy the cool air on the river and enjoy the sights along the way.

The stone bridge, caves, a tad bit strenuous hike (esp for the 70 y/o in our party), views of river flowing etc are all amazing.
I would definitely recommend that you go the few extra miles past Lake George to visit this awesome site.
