14 Hands Winery Prosser, WA
#2 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
This is certainly a “must do” and a great intro to Columbia Valley’s outstanding collection of wineries.
The winery grounds are well laid out with a beautiful large mural and a great sculpture of a small heard of horses.
Treveri Wapato, WA
#3 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
We have been to several wineries in our travels both at home and in California & found this winery to match some of the wonderful places we have visited!
The winery is magnificent even without being part of the club...outstanding menu of small bites..and my personal favorite is their sparkling wine cocktail menu..try the lemon drop!
Airfield Estates Winery Prosser, WA
#4 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
Highly recommend stopping by to learn about the history of the winery and to sample the high quality wine!
Our Favorite Winery of the Day!
Two Mountain Winery Zillah, WA
#5 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
She is exuberant, engaging, knowledgable, and she gave us great recommendations to other wineries and local eats in the area.
If you love to taste amazing wine, enjoy beautiful views and hangout with friends this winery is a great place for you.
Alexandria Nicole Cellars Prosser, WA
#7 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
Out of all the wineries in Prosser, I would have to say this is probably one of the best.
My husband and I had a great experience at Alexandria Nicole Winery.
Terra Blanca Vintners Benton City, WA
#8 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
We were visiting the Pacific North West and stopped at a lot of wineries and this was the best by far.
Treated very well there and beautiful view good wine and beautiful setting I learned some new fact about wine and the history or the vineyards
Kiona Vineyards and Winery Benton City, WA
#9 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
With so many "Johnny come lately" wineries in the area this one really has a local history and it shows in the wines they produce.
Nice end of day visit of visiting wineries
Bonair Winery Yakima, WA
#10 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
This winery, like so many of the other smaller wineries in the Yakima Valley, is quite charming.
Highly recommend this winery for a refreshing, quick taste along the Rattlesnake Hills wine trail, or a lingering picnic on their beautiful property!
Tucannon Cellars Benton City, WA
#11 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
We've been visiting the Red Mountain wineries for over 20 years and have found some real gems (Cooper, Terra Blanca, some others).
Tucannon Cellers is a beautiful cozy boutique style winery and wine bar, with very manicured and green landscaping just a walking distance from the river.
Prosser Vintner s Village Prosser, WA
#13 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
The Vintner's Village is a compact area that offers more wineries than you can possibly want, each with a unique take on Washington wines.
Beautiful walkable enclave of several wineries (one with a good restaurant), most with gift/accessories shops - a lovely place to spend a languorous day.
Owen Roe Winery Wapato, WA
#14 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
We also asked for and received suggestions on places to eat and other local wineries.
Owen Roe winery is a bit off the beaten path but well worth finding.
Hedges Family Estate Benton City, WA
#15 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
Quite different from other wineries, beautiful place to visit!
Set in a beautiful 125 acre vineyard on Red Mountain, the Hedges Estate wine store provides a fashionable tasting room for a delicious spectrum of whites, reds, and ports for all with an appreciation of wine.
Daven Lore Winery Prosser, WA
#16 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
Of all the wineries in the Prosser area, we enjoy Davenlore as one of our top three or four to visit whenever we are there.
This is a small local winery up in the hills behind Prosser, so it is a little bit of a drive up the hill, but you'll be treated to nice views of the valley.
Desert Wind Winery Prosser, WA
#17 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
We were very happy to have been on a tour of the winery and enjoyed the wine tasting and pairing with some light snacks.
If you find yourself looking for a great getaway stop on your winery tour, this is the place to go.
Cultura Winery Zillah, WA
#18 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
The wines are a bit pricier than other wineries, though mostly because they just have one tier of wines (estate), but same price as other wineries' estate wines.
Great wines from a small family run winery
Col Solare Winery Benton City, WA
#19 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
If you're on Red Mountain make sure you visit at least two or three other wineries in this gorgeous part of the world.
The Col Solare tasting room is at the Chateau St. Michele winery - and the wines are better at Col. We took the wine tour and our guide was less than impressive.
Kana Winery Yakima, WA
#20 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
When Yakima opened up First Fridays, it gave many wineries an opportunity to shine!
After a day of exploring Yakima Valley, we usually end up back in Yakima and end our day at Kana winery.
Portteus Vineyards Yakima, WA
#21 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
I think Portteus is one of the oldest vineyards and wineries in WA state and their red wines are always amazing.
But the guide and the variety of wines (perhaps too many) will bring us back and will have us telling our friends about this wonderful winery.
Silver Lake Winery Zillah, WA
#22 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
My lovely wife and I have been to some beautiful wineries in Sonoma and Napa counties.
Sat on the patio and enjoyed a beautiful view of the vineyards and the valley.

#24 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
We visited five wineries in Red Mountain and this was by our favorite!
Cooper Winery is in the AVA of Red Mountain, which is a favorite wine area of ours.

Fidelitas Benton City, WA
#26 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
The Best of Red Mountain Wineries!
We love this place and we are wine club member at it, so it feels a little bias writing about this winery, but here goes.
AntoLin Cellars Yakima, WA
#27 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
This is a must see winery if you are in Yakima.
Gilbert Cellars Yakima, WA
#28 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
Wit Cellars Prosser, WA
#29 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
Tasting room is pleasant and the person pouring for us was extremely knowledgeable about wines and especially informative about Wit's products and history and that of other wineries in the area.
WIT Cellars is a warm, welcoming and family oriented winery.
Frichette Benton City, WA
#30 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
Frichette is one of my all-time favorite wineries.
Beautiful winery with personal touches galore.
Mercer Wine Estates Prosser, WA
#31 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
The winery is in a nice setting, and the tasting was greatly improved by our server, Penny, who really knew about the grapes and the wine-making process.
This winery kicked off our wine tour of Prosser and it was the perfect first stop.
Anelare Winery Benton City, WA
#32 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
It is on the other side of the highway from many of the Red Mountain wineries, but worth the drive!
The Anelare winery is a beautiful building with an exceptional view of Red Mountain which has become very popular for growing grapes in Eastern Washington.
Kestrel Vintners Prosser, WA
#33 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
This is a staple winery and must visit each time we are in Proser.
Finally, we got to the winery.
Paradisos del Sol Zillah, WA
#34 of 102 Food & Drink in Yakima Valley
If you are planning to be in the area, check out the passport program they have as you pay $10 and receive discounts/benefits at participating wineries in the area.
The winery setting is eclectic and charming with a spacious outdoor patio area, a friendly dog to greet you at the parking lot, and free roaming chickens in the yard.
