- Maria M30 contributionsHad a good time with my family. Our three year old wasn't as engaged, but our eight year old enjoyed most of the museum. The dinosaur area was the kids' favorite part. Bathroom upstairs was kinda gross.Written September 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- knicketsBelper, UK22 contributionsWent to eclipse watch party and enjoyed science experiments on lawn. - Laurence JClearwater, FL267 contributionsOur favorite experience in Witchita. A church group was kind enough to let us tag along with their after-hours tour, and it has to be one of the most comfortable-looking and pleasant Wright houses we have seen. Plus it has been beautifully restored with original furnishings and fittings. In addition we learned some Kansas history since the original owner was a prominent newspaper publisher, governor and senator who was a friend of Willam Allen White, renowned publisher of the Emporia Gazette.Written September 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joebob747Neenah, WI385 contributionsNice museum but I would suggest it should maybe add "and Hall Of Fame" to the name. The building was very cool art deco example and nice to see it's been remodeled and maintained. There are a few airplanes on the upper floor and several more outside but most of the museum is information on the people and companies involved in aviation in Kansas. What should have I expected? LOL Either way, nice stop and interesting stuff. I will admit being able to climb all the way to the top of the old tower and watch the new KC-46 Pegasus take off and land at the air force base next door was probably the highlight.Written June 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Boo913Hawkins, TX1,170 contributionsWe stayed here one night while on vacation and it was a really nice and clean hotel. There was a mini kitchen in our room complete with full size frig and dishwasher. Our room was quiet although the view looked out over the hotel awning. We walked to a nearby brewery for dinner and drinks and came back to hear live jazz at the hotel lounge.Written June 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - too_few_trips_1Irvine, CA937 contributionsThe trail along the Arkansas River in downtown Wichita is pleasant for a stroll. We began at the Keeper of the Plains and walked downriver for about 20 minutes. People clearly use the river walk for exercise and picnics -- all very pleasant.Written May 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
