What travelers are saying
- LyndaMNLakeville, MN690 contributionsWe had an overnight stay in South Bend and decided to stroll through the campus. We were both gobsmacked by the beauty of the buildings and the architecture. Even the trees and bushes seemed to be planted with great care to show off colors and textures. We absolutely loved walking for two hours around the empty campus on a late May day.
Sadly, the basilica was closed to visitors. Maybe next time.Written June 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Robert FMarietta, OH234 contributionsThe seats were easy to find and there was enough room you did not feel as if you were sitting on someone's lap. The concessions were reasonably priced for football and no beer was served. It is a great place to watch a game even from the visitors seats.Written March 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ChristineBrown92Linton, IN618 contributionsThis is worth a stop in South Bend. A neat place. There are 2 museums in 1. We only did the car side because of time, but wish we did the history side. It took about 1.5 hours to do the car side. Then we drove by the mansion.Written June 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Susan H2 contributionsBeautiful. Glad I visited. It's worth it to walk around on campus and visit these beautiful buildings.Written May 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Steven P247 contributionsWhat a great place for a quiet moment to reflect. Even though it is a spot for “tourists”, everyone is respectful and quiet.Written April 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Clay GSouth Bend, IN711 contributionsMy girlfriend absolutely loves the zoo. So when we had a free day on a weekend, it was a perfect opportunity to head to the Potawatomi Zoo. While it is not an exceptionally large zoo, it has plenty of different animals to see. With a simple layout, you can easily see everything in a few short hours. Additionally, the zoo was very clean and the staff were friendly.Written August 14, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- James R MSaint Joseph, MI436 contributionsWe saw Lion King this afternoon. Wonderful musical with amazing costumes, music, and scenery.
We have been here many times over the years and highly recommend this theater.Written March 8, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Janice B7 contributionsHighly recommend for insights of early living and family life into one of the pioneers in the area. Extremely interesting background on development of this family’s wealth and prominence.Written October 5, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lori G17 contributionsWent as family and met up husbands work group.
Great game with plenty of entertainment all around. Water park and inflatables for kids. Delicious food especially the philly steak nachos.
Highly recommend for a great family day.Written March 8, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Greg HGreen Bay, WI46 contributionsYou won't find any place better to watch a college hockey game. Great comfortable seats, not a bad seat in the house. Reasonable concessions. All located on one of the best campuses in the US.Written April 30, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Melodie MTampa, FL41 contributionsStopped by this place for Saturday morning shopping. There are 2 buildings to explore. There is lots of fresh produce at reasonable prices. There is a Polish bakery with homemade perogies. They were very good. We bought coffee from raphia roast and it was very good and not bitter. There sell nitrate free bacon and a whole meat counter. There is even grass fed beef. I would definitely return. They are open 2 days during the week and on Saturdays.Written March 8, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- DogMom4LifeCarlisle, OH7 contributionsDefinitely get there early enough to buy your tickets beforehand. The ride was about 2.5 hours long from South Bend, so I would definitely suggest bringing a book or headphones, but is generally nice. The conductors were overall friendly, but some have more personality than others.Written August 8, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MidwestKathMDetroit, MI534 contributionsEarly June evening...parked off Colfax Ave and walked in to see the River Lights and the Mark di Suvero sculpture “Keepers of the Fire” in the river. The lights are awesome with the bridge behind it. A bit chilly and dark (the paths could be better lit). Would love to have walked all the way around to see the lights and sculpture from all angles. Still was a nice time. And there was a free music festival happening in the Plaza too.Written April 25, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Nancy KSouth Bend, IN13 contributionsMy Ohio family visited and had fun rafting at the East Race. It is very reasonably priced entertainment. It also enabled my grandchildren to spend time in the great outdoors.Written September 7, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Kat RWabash, IN165 contributionsThis casino is absolutely gorgeous, especially now since it’s all decorated for Christmas! I was amazed at all the trees and decorations, beautiful! As for the slots, I did not do well at all but I had fun. I am a smoker so I wasn’t happy with the no smoking thing. I am fine with going out to smoke, but you have to go totally outside to smoke and then walk through the metal detector again. So my eyeglass case set off the detector each time and had to have my purse looked at every time. Oh, I want to mention one of the security guys when coming in, I don’t know his name but he was so friendly and helpful! He had long hair done in a braid. I love the variety of slots here! Didn’t do well, but had lots of fun!Written December 6, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
