On any given day you encounter all kinds of people from families with strollers, dog walkers, lovers, picnickers, runners, bicyclists.
The kids enjoy Central Park immensely, but they also like walking along the river to see what they can see and throwing rocks into it.

My 16 year old granddaughter absolutely loved it, but there were little kids and adults there who were just doing an awesome job through the courses.

As local people, we often go just for a few hours, as it makes for a nice family outing, so our annual pass more than pays for itself.

The grotto is a popular place for students, their families, and others to come to light a candle, pray and rest in the peace and solitude of the area.
My kids and I stop by after their competitions to give thanks for their success and that everyone of their teammates are well and free of injury.

The historic band shelter is a perfect setting for the free summer concerts that are family friendly.
My kids (5, 3.5 and 1.5) enjoy the playground at Battell Park, but the splash pad is their least favorite of the ones we've been to.

(They do allow families and children to go into the fields and pick and there are kids all over really enjoying that...what a nice way for a family to spend some time and the kids seem to love it.)
The bushes were full and everyone in our group had so much fun, we were surprised how much the little kids liked it, they picked and picked.
