Columbian Park
#4 of 5 Nature & Parks in Lafayette
This is a turn of the century park with a beautiful pond, an amphitheater, a children's train ride, a great playground separated for kids of different ages, a water park, and a zoo, for Heaven's sake.
Every time we come back to the park, I swear there is something new and it's expanded somehow.

Lilly Nature Center West Lafayette 4.0 mi away

The Nature Center provides information on the plants and trees you will see and is strongly suggest one tours the Nature before starting the hike.
The nature center has a bird viewing window, books, displays, and volunteers to answer questions.
Prophetstown State Park Battle Ground 5.4 mi away

Despite the beautiful weather and the fact that the park was full, we only saw a handful of people on trails 3 and 4. I recommend heading to the back of the park to hike 3 and 4 for the best experiences.
Probably a little biased because I work here but, I have worked in other parks and I rank this park up with the best park I have worked or volunteered in!
