- SPA007Toronto, Canada92 contributionsW e took a slight detour on our Florida Snow Bird trip to see this iconic venue. Unfortunately it was pouring rain that day, but we still did the round the track / kiss the brick tour. Was VERY informative & I am happing to report me knees HAVE dried out finally . Well worth the trip if you are a race fan ! we HOPE to possibly do the 10 hour drive to attend a race sometime in the futureWritten January 4, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - M C8 contributionsWe spent a long time here - reading everything. Not only were we able to view artwork made by individuals of the First Nations but there was an extensive exhibition of artwork about individuals of the First Nations. It is a must ..... it opened our eyes to viewing these amazing individuals in a completely different prespective.Written August 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KMMWest Terre Haute, IN256 contributionsThis was our first time there. It was so much fun and we learned a lot. It was easy to find and had a great underground parking garage. The staff were very nice and helpful. Do not go to the other museum nextdoor.Written February 10, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - wrjseisenHouston, TX194 contributionsGreat museum and chronicle of Kurt Vonnegut’s life. Start on the 3rd floor and work your way down. Fun cafe for a snack, ice cream or glass of wine. After the museum we went downtown and saw the mural.Written August 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - bill j1 contributionTop notch experience. Register via their website. There's a history lesson, then a modestly sized museum to see enginesWritten August 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Gary MFairmont, WV303 contributionsWe pick this museum for it content. When we arrived we were greeted and given general information on the displays. We walk through their displays from cars over the years and various type on equipped that been used on patrol. Uniforms, breathe testing, and their dogs. Every thing was well displayed.
The large car in the picture was made with two front ends. Inside they had duplicated police equipment on both sides.
We spent about 30 minutes looking around.Written January 24, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Self guided, and you'll need about an hour! Look up their living history days for costumed soldiers, military vehicles and extra fun on weekends!Written July 31, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jacob HIndianapolis, IN762 contributions$0.50 admission or free if you donate a Statue of Liberty item for the museum. It is part of Tim and Company's Fine Mess Store (connected next door), so need to go in there first to ask for access.
May want to call ahead to make sure it is available to view before going because it is sometimes used as overflow storage. Owner is also open to giving a quick tour of it.Written August 24, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. My favorite is the full scale Johnny Unitas Picture. But every few months, the pictures are rotated and it is really amazing the variety. This is a "Free" place to visit and is worth every minute that you are there. THe problem: the university has asked them to move, so they can put more student rooms in their hotel and conference center. Oh, well!Written November 5, 2012This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Porthos7West Chester, OH8,927 contributionsThis is a small museum that has an incredible amount of fire fighting history, artifacts, fire trucks, etc...all housed in an original fire station! You'll need about an hour, and if a docent is available, it's worth the time speaking with them over some of the history that you'd never know on your own. There is a free parking lot caddy-corner to the museum, and they are wheelchair accessible. Make this a stop in your adventures!Written July 25, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- EugeCSan Diego, CA339 contributionsThe Global Village Center sits in a shopping plaza in suburban Indianapolis amidst a multi-ethnic neighborhood. The large, spacious Center contains exhibit areas of global cultures, display an area of special exhibits, an event venue, and a gift shop of international handicrafts.
The Center seems to be under development with greater ambitions of events, attractions etc.Written June 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
