The whole area has been beautiful constructed; the buildings, rock formations, plantings (with excellent information on why the plants have been chosen) and the gorgeous lake with water lillies.
This is a oasis where you can leave all the hustle and bustle of the city behind. The calm peace and beauty in this garden is really uplifting even when the weather is being unkind.

... staff did get us a coffee and croissant Met with the gardener had a chat and went for a walk to the top of the property Some huge Matai trees, giant fuchsias and lots of beauty in the gardens and native bush.
Gardens very intersting, we just wandered around the flat trails, stream running through and very nice plantings and lovely trees in area, well worth while visiting.

The kids love this mini golf, and the cafe is lovely in both summer and winter with a nice indoor fire or outdoor seating on lively garden setting
Took grandchildren out to play mini golf while we looked around all the plants, they loved it and kept them entertained for ages.

This is the outcome of years of hard work by the local Lions Club, turning the old quarry into a fabulous rhododendron garden.
We had the privilege of being guided around this stunning garden for the second time.
