Situated on the shores of Lake Chivero, this proper sanctuary provides the opportunity to see and learn the fascinating birds from all around the world.
I love coming here, watch the lake and the birds, amble through the bird sanctuary watch the bird show, and have great fish and chips.

The sanctuary has indeed lived up to its name and if you fancy seeing and having a close-up with lions , cheetahs, giraffes and zebras...then the Lion & Cheetah park just outside Harare is the place to be.
Great visit to see the lions in the enclosed pen and then a safari drive amongst the other animals being zebra, giraffe, impala etc and then settling down for a picnic

A steep, maybe 15 min, climb (the path easy to find and marked with white painted arrows on the ground) to see fantastic rock- paintings.
Fabulous hike about an hour away from Harare

This is a place where you can take a walk (can even walk with your dog) in the natural settings and vegetation of Harare.
In short time you can learn so much and see all types of nature zones in Zim.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and Ant and his team greatly contributed to us having a successful visit to Mana.
Ant from Manapools was amazingly helpful at all times - be it planning the route or sourcing petrol :) I couldn’t recommend using them enough :)
