We went to the Peck farm park primarily to see their butterfly collection. That did not disappoint. The '' house '' was filled with butterflies of all types but mostly Morphos, those large bright blue beauties found in Costa Rica. They do a professional job of maintaining their exhibit and are careful in managing the human guests. The butterfly house was a treat. The farm house was equally impressive, having been built in 1853. The inside held some small animals in tanks and signage explaining the history of the Peck family but no real furniture from that era. The upstairs bedrooms were closed off. Several barns surrounded the grounds but were mostly closed or empty. The silo presented a nice view from four stories up but the climb got pretty hairy in the heat and lack of ventilation. The hundreds of kids found the place a delight I have to say. It was more of a playground than anything else. As the buses unloaded their screaming cargo my wife and I beat a hasty retreat, knowing in a couple of days my hearing will return to normal. Fingers crossed.

I spent the day here with family and it was a great day. The park and paths were
full of people enjoying life on a great day. We sat by the river and caught up with how everyone is doing. After that, we walked into the historic section of town and enjoyed the afternoon. Great way to spend the day with friends or family!

Take a hot dog with mustard in a steamed bun, add a Lemon Chill, great companions and a 10-5 Cougars win. What does that equal? A terrific Summer outing at a fun ballpark! Full disclosure: we are AVID baseball fans—-but visiting an MLB park in Chicago means a trip beforehand to arm yourself with large amounts of cash. At this park, we got attractive, quality t-shirts for the grandkids plus hot dogs, burgers and beverages (and, of course, tiny helmets filled with Dippin Dots) and we did not leave with empty wallets. The kiddos loved the Kid Zone, we were pleased with both the food/beverage selection and the prices, and I can’t imagine any customer not impressed with the cleanliness of the facilities and the pleasant and helpful staff. And did I mention that the Cougars—in their sharp new uniforms—thrilled us with two home runs in that 10-5 victory!

The ship is run by a non profit and is preserving a ship that crossed the Atlantic for a world's fair over a 100 years ago.

The guides are knowledgeable and try to bring history alive.

Returned to Geneva for a weekend of live music. Saddened to see empty store fronts starting to occur (post pandemic) but hopeful businesses will start to rebound soon. We did find a NEW men's cosignment shop call "Stitch Switch" on a side street by the courthouse. It was the coolest little shop I've seen in awhile filled with quality named brand clothing and shoes all perfectly organized. The owner came across as a really nice guy and very genuine.

Other shops that were open downtown were staffed with friendly people.

It is amazing what they have done without taxpayer's money to help. The historical society owns the beautiful building which is very modern inside. The exhibits are professionally displayed and some are electronic and interactive.
The docent was very friendly and helpful.

Cozy Brewery with a great selection of Sour beers. I went there recently for a Sour Beer, but then tasted the Imperial Stout Beer - What a Great Choice. A tint of Cherry, Vanilla and Cinnamon was in the stout. Bartender was so nice. Definitely a stop needed when your in the Downtown area of Geneva.

My daughter likes this park for it's slides. They are a lot of fun. There are lots of areas to climb. Great for wide range of ages! Fun trees to hide in also.

Our grandaughters take ice skating lessons here and they have a fantastic staff. They also offer hockey and family time.

The Central Geneva Historic District is a set of 102 buildings and structures in Geneva, Illinois, one of Chicago's far western suburbs. Of those, 68 contribute to the district's historical integrity. It encompasses most of the southern half of the town as it was originally platted. It is roughly bounded by the Fox River and South, 6th and State Streets, south of Illinois Route 38 or Roosevelt Road. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Among the notable buildings is the Kane County Court House and the Frank Lloyd Wright-designed P. D. Hoyt House. Most houses are two-story frame residences built between 1840 and 1900. Wright's P. D. Hoyt House was designed and built in the Prairie School style of architecture in 1906. But the Greek Revival Unitarian Church was built in 1843 and the vernacular Eben Conant House in 1844 and the Benjamin Wilson House in 1848 and the Italianate Augustus Herrington House in 1851 and the Neoclassical Charles B. Wells House in 1850. The Kane County Court House, the focal point of the district, is the only structure in the 67-acre area to exceed three stories. Geneva's reputation as a scenic shopping area has contributed to the popularity of the district.

Amazing place to get lost while shopping! There are numerous rooms, all with different items - gourmet foods and candies, housewares, linens, lotions and soaps, outdoor decorations, chandeliers and other lighting fixtures, lovely designer clothes, shoes and accessories, purses, jewelry . . . what can you NOT find at the Little Traveler. In the midst of this, sit and enjoy a lovely lunch or 3 course tea! The food and service is wonderful.
