All in all I would unreservedly recommend a visit - there is lots to do for both children and adults, the museum is bright and airy and, by the way, it also has a great café.

Beautiful gardens, cute shop but best if all was the little cafe - friendly staff and delicious hot and cold food was available..not to mention the tempting and delicious home-made cakes!
It's a very large garden with an adjoining tea room so I would plan 2-3 hours for this visit, walk around the gardens (don't forget to stop by the Australasian garden and go lamp post sighting!) and grab some lunc...
