We had a great 4 hours on one of the motorboats, mooring up along the towpath for a picnic and enjoying the stunning scenery.

It was ideal, although the good weather did help !! The gardens in the park looked stunning, there were families there having a picnic like us, and we had a great game of rounders - wonderful open space to enjoy !

What a great spot to see wetland bird life and a murmuration of (we were told) 250,000+ starlings set against the mystical backdrop of Glastonbury Tor.
The RSPB staff were really friendly and helpful telling us what to look out for and recommending the best places on the site to view different types of birds.

All in all I would unreservedly recommend a visit - there is lots to do for both children and adults, the museum is bright and airy and, by the way, it also has a great café.

The grounds were fantastic for the children to explore; they particularly loved the sheep and chickens around the site and my 10 year old caught lots of fish on the fishing lake.
