Without doubt the most beautiful cemetery I have ever visited - set on terraced land, framed by tall trees - some superbly sculpted headstones, carefully tended & flowered graves.
Apart from the history, there are more interesting points: varied architecture of chapels and family burial places, extreme variety of gravestones and some quite interesting sculptures.

Continue up a short, but very steep, set of wooden stairs opposite the lift to the open air 360 degree viewing platform where the views are totally unimpeded and you get a great idea of the City and its surroundings.
However, it is still beautiful and worthwhile to visit and views from the bell tower are great (additional fee for ascending!).

... that are usually around the famous old city center, this church is a must visit for people who like religious tourism and similar landmarks but also for those who wish to see and admire baroque architecture.
The facade may appear familiar but once inside you are astounded with the shear beauty of the intricate carvings and statues, and grand roof.

Monument to Zemach Shabad

It was a rainy day in Vilnius, but worth the trip to see the sights including this lovely statue, kind of makes you want to make up your own story about it's meaning, easy to find and worth finding.
This inconspicuous monument of a man gently touching and talking to a girl with a cat fits in the Pan-European trend to put human-scale statues instead of monumental structures.
