The tour guide: Kineret Jaffe was informative, kind and patient with any and all

questions. It is hard to believe this was free. This is a definite must do in Chicago.

The weather was cooperative for an outdoor walking tour

The Visitor Center is a bit of a work in progress. There are displays set up around the building, including a model of the town, photos, some Pullman Car items, and things like that. Maybe, in the future, once they get the large building refurbished, they can have a Pullman Car display. Just because it isn't all new and shiny, doesn't mean it's not interesting.

This is home to the historic pumping station. Also acts as a small information centre and little library. Seems odd this survivor from the 1800'S amidst massive skyscrapers.

The Hyde Park Chamber hosts a number of events that helps promote the Hyde Park neighborhood and businesses in it. Events like the Dinner Crawl, Hyde Park Brewfest, Summer Concert Series, and the Downtown Hyde Park Fest are open to the general public abd provide great opportunities to network and learn about this rapidly changing neighborhood.
