#22 of 75 Nature & Parks in Chicago
It is a place of wonderment where you can FEEL nature, tranquility and beauty.
The Japanese garden on the Wooded Island just south of the Museum of Science and Industry is a living reminder of the great fair that once was this park.

The park is clean, the people and pups are friendly, and the dog loved it.
The park is clean, spacious, has water and bowls available, toys, agility equipment and even a pool on one side!

But be warned: on weekends after 10am it is hard to find parking or even get inside the park (since the police due to huge crowdes redirect people away)....

This park became famous during The World's Columbian Exposition (1893) when it was basically used as an amusement park ( belly dancers, original Ferris Wheel, etc.)
