Stephanie was our artist for the day. She was knowledgable, fun, helpful, and very chill. You could tell she loved what she was doing and she hyped us all up! The environment was wonderful and artsy. I would definitely go back!

We had a fun girls night at Bottle & Bottega South Loop. Started out w/wine then got to work on our paintings. Instructors were excellent! I have attended other company"s where the artist kept his back to us the whole time. Bottle & Bottega had great background music, lots of assistants to help w/questions. There was a group of very loud patrons, who's voices were annoyingly distracting. Majority of patrons were just having fun without disrupting others. The space is compact, but the ambience made up for the tight quarters. I would highly recommend this location. And a special shout-out to our Artist du jour, Curtis, for his patience with our large group of ladies.

This is a gorgeous building that houses an art school and has ongoing exhibits in the front rooms of this historic structure. I've been there for a two gallery shows. The rooms are majestic which adds to the ambiance while viewing art. It is not open all the time so check the website for upcoming shows and classes. Outstanding artists teach the classes-- many very classical like oil painting, pastels, watercolor and life drawing. Even if you are not planning to purchase art, plan on stopping by sometime when there is a are exhibit going on, to step inside and enjoy the experience. Often they will have a banner sign outside in the front of the building announcing the times/dates of the current or upcoming shows. There is a set of stairs to enter the building and I'm not aware one way or the other if there is an accessible entrance.

What a discovery! Such a beautiful Pottery store! I have done pottery painting for as long as remember but we accidentally found this place during Ribfest in Lincoln Square. So many choices for ceramics and paint colors. The service was great, the staff brought us everything we needed, kept refilling our paints, changed our water and our pieces came out just perfect ! I have to keep going there as they have so many choices , perfect for girls night out an best thing is that they are BYOB! Definitely a place to go for out of towners!

This class was a highlight of my time in Chicago. James had a detailed PowerPoint that guided us through the details, as well as lots of practice and testing. He was generous with his information and I had lots of questions about how to create good sound quality for research interviews which he happily answered. James has deep experience in Podcasting so it was like learning from a Master. I’m from Australia but the content was still completely relevant.

We have so many incredible memories, delicious meals and sights from our trip to Chicago and love coming to this city each year. AURA Candle Bar was the highlight of our trip and we cannot wait to come back. First off, the AURA studio is beautiful and there is a warmth, calmness and hygge vibe to the space and the people treat you so well and really know their fragrance and candles. We first went on a scent journey by smelling over 100 fragrances that AURA has curated and discovering our top 12. Next, each of selected a vessel for our candle. They have several dozen vessels in various shapes, colors and candle burn time. Each vessel was beautiful and we had a hard time selecting one. I chose to make a candle and also a reed diffuser for my office. My wife made a candle and our friends each made a candle and wax melts. After selecting our vessels, we worked with a scent consultant that helped each of us identify "notes or facets" we wanted our candle to smell like. This was very interesting and we learned so much about fragrance creation and candle making from our scent consultant. She was so knowledgeable, kind and helpful. She made great recommendations that weren't even on our initial lists to help each of us bring out the best aroma in our candles. We next were shown how to blend our fragrances to make our very own custom fragrance blend. Talk about being blown away! When we finished blending our fragrances, we couldn't believe how wonderful they smelled. After creating our custom fragrances we then blended the wax and fragrance together to make our candles, wax melts and also my reed diffuser. We never thought we could make a great smelling fragrance, however AURA made this really easy and each of us felt so proud of our creation in the end. After we finished making our candles, AURA had one more surprise. They make a divine sugar scrub that you get to use when washing your hands. Our hands have never been so soft and beautifully fragrant. The whole experience and candle making class was superb and our candles smell the absolute best in our home and my office reed diffuser is making my co-workers jealous. My diffuser was made with agarwood, nerolis and sea salt. While our candles cooled, we shopped and ate in the AURA Candle Bar neighborhood known as Southport Corridor. So many shops and great restaurants to spend time. The whole experience took less than an hour. We love coming to Chicago and always have world class meals and experiences and enjoy trying experiences when we travel around the world. AURA Candle Bar has been the best experience the four of us have had and it was the highlight of our trip to Chicago. Every time we burn our candles, it reminds us of our time together and the memories with our friends. if you're seeking a unique, hands-on experience in Chicago, look no further than AURA Candle Bar. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return on our next visit!
