What travelers are saying
- fungramma51CA212 contributionsFee area (National Park passes are accepted). Idaho uses water from there to irrigate fields in the summer so the falls are less in summer and fall so I wasn’t expecting much. They said the water in the falls the day we were there was about 30% of normal and it was beautiful. Very special, there are many areas of waterfalls and it was well worth the visit. It must be really great in late spring. There are two main parking areas, one by a large grassy park with picnic tables.Written September 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SeanTucson, AZ15 contributionsGreat view of the Snake River and canyon beneath. Unfortunately missed out on seeing any base jumpers.
Despite the great views, there were a couple downsides: the visitor center was nothing more than a gimmicky gift shop and there were several dead mice along the stairs leading to the bridge walkway.Written July 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joanne A3 contributionsCaitlyn and Dalton were our guides on a kayak trip to Shoshone Falls. They were amazing. Always looking at ways to support and help us navigate the walk in the river to our kayaks to helping us in an out of the water. This was the best kayak trip ever! We highly recommend it. Beautiful and magical. Ask for these two exceptional people. They made our trip extra special.Written July 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

The turn off to this park is on the right side before you get to the falls and is very well marked. We went June 29th.
The day we were at the lake, it looked like the Caribbean. We could see fish swimming in the water. It was beautiful. We only stopped because we paid to see Shoshone Falls and thought we would check this out.
You could spend all day here. Very large parking lot, snack shack, restrooms, small beach, diving board, dock, and picnic areas that are shaded.
We did see people jumping off the rock “cliffs” that were not super high in the air. You can also rent kayaks there. Super cute park. We just didn’t have swim suits with us.
It’s was around 12 when we arrived on a Thursday, and it was not super busy, but I imagine on the weekends it could be.

Don’t let the pavilion areas near the park front fool you; there may be large events there and limited parking, but once you walk a quarter-mile down the trail, there’s almost nobody around.Written July 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KateSHot Springs, Arkansas, United States6,171 contributionsAll that's left is a huge manmade hill that was once the ramp for the "skycycle" & a plaque on the Canyon Rim Trail. But, as a lover of kitsch, & as someone who remembers the actual network broadcast back in 1974, this was a must-see for me. You can walk/bike the 2 1/2 miles from the Twin Falls Visitor Center on the Canyon Rim Trail. If you prefer to drive, the last half mile or so, after you jog around a subdivision, is gravel, but it's easy to find (we used Google Maps) & there is a parking area at the base of the ramp. Once I saw the Snake River canyon at the jump site, I wondered if Evel was insane. Or rather, I better understood why Evel pulled the parachute early, effectively bailing on the jump. It's a beautiful view, but it had to look very wide & very scary from his vantage point! This isn't for everyone; everyone I know would've given this 1 star (or wouldn't have even gone to see it in the 1st place). But, I'm delighted it still exists & recommend it for anyone who loves off-beat attractions.Written June 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
