- Mary142011Fort Myers, FL77 contributionsSo much to see. Even though the weather wasn't great, it was fun to walk around and explore the different shops and galleries. Definitely will come back!Written November 14, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kerri BTuscumbia, AL13 contributionsVery fun family adventure for my family of four. We spent a majority of time in the kids areas with a four year old and a ten year old, but the kids splash kept our littles entertained for hours. We did end up standing in line for one of the family waterslides and the wait time ended up being about thirty minutes, which was not bad considering we were there on the fourth of July. Short wait times to get into the park, get food, and for the bathrooms and changing area which is a major plus with littles. Can't wait to go back!Written July 19, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Michelle SLouisville, KY26 contributionsPark at Hilton then short walk to museum. Museum is small but interesting. We enjoyed ourselves. They offer veteran discount. Gardens are nice but it was too hot to walk around muchWritten June 27, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dave WAtlanta, GA397 contributionsSope Creek is a real neat park. It is part of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area (CRNRA) federal parks along the Chattahoochee River. Sope Creek is used primarily for hiking and biking.
Today a group of 10 friends hiked 6 miles around the park. Trails are marked with maps at junctions. Highlights included mill ruins along the creek and an old graveyard in the middle of park. See pics. Medium size parking lot which gets busy on weekends and holidays. Parking fee is required here (currently $5).
Three CRNRA units connect together: Sope Creek, Cochran Shoals, and Powers Island. One of my friends said you can do a 17 mile hike if you combine all of them. Nice!
Great area and worth a stop. My favorite CRNRA unit is "Island Ford" .... but all of them are worth a stop at least once if you are in the area.Written February 1, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is a small museum but has a lot of information and you could easily spend about an hour looking at everything. They rotate out exhibits frequently as well so you can go often. the museum is in an old hotel so it has a very nice historic feel to it. Across the street and down the train tracks is a food hall that has a ton of delicious picks for anyone. Also since the museum is at the Marietta Square there are a lot of restaurants walking distance as well as a few nice retail shops to go to.Written November 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - usabonSan Juan3 contributionsGreat selection of beers. The bartenders were always friendly (can’t remember names though I visited the place a dozen times). The ax throwing hall is a fun draw that no other brewery has. Other games such as a big Connect 4 and cornhole are also available. Highly recommended.Written July 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Laurie SAtlanta, GA367 contributionsBeautiful old theater, with balcony seating and a lovely pipe organ. We went to see White Christmas! A wonderful man gave a pre-movie concert on the pipe organ, a real treat! We were expecting a real movie reel of the classic White Christmas. Instead, the theater showed the movie off of Amazon prime! The sound was just okay. There is a concession stand with popcorn and candy, soft drinks and bottled water. They also have a bar where beer, wine and mixed drinks can be purchased. Clean restrooms and friendly staff. Note: There are no cup holders at the seats for your drinks.Written November 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AerowingMonee, IL5,951 contributionsThis is an amazing cemetery full of Confederate soldiers.
Established in 1863, this was originally the resting place for 20 Confederate soldiers killed in a train wreck north of Marietta. It is the resting place to over 3,000 soldiers from all 13 Confederate states plus Maryland, Missouri, and Kentucky. There’s also a area where slaves are buried but sadly there’s no headstones for them.
There’s an actual 6 pound canon that was using the Civil War here as well. This is a wonderful historical cemetery that should be seen and visited by all. Highly recommend.Written August 3, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
