What travelers are saying
- Dan Cohen3 contributionsA gorgeous beach, the nicest public beach on the island. White sands, gentle waves, and a lot of sun. Coral reefs slightly offshore.Written February 3, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- rodrigo LSan Andres Island, Colombia23 contributionsCayo Bolivar is the recent name of this atoll, which is also known as East Southeast Cay, or Court Town Cay. It's only 18 nautical miles from San Andrés Island. You can only get there by boat, but it is no longer accessible to tourists due to uncontrolled visits that put a lot of pressure on this fragile ecosystem.
There are three main cays or islands and they a nesting site for a variety of oceanic seabirds as well as turtles. Now a days it is only visited by local fishermen and residents of San Andrés.Written December 9, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. So it’s nice to identify the local plants as you tour the island. I was there on a Monday morning, and was the only visitor. The garden is on a hill and there is a higher observation tower at the top. You can see most of the island from the tower, a beautiful view! Some of the paths are unimproved, so beware if you are mobility impaired, but the main walkway is very good. Definitely worth visiting!Written April 2, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Victoria OShanghai, China215 contributionsWe received a warm welcome upon arriving and were shown a variety of different areas, including the tamarind tree where the first priest gave lessons and the main church complex. They had some historical items and shared the history of the church which was really interesting. We climbed the church's tower, which involved some steep stairs and the view of the sunset and surrounding island was stunning. It was a short trip (doable in 30 minutes) but a nice interlude from the beaches.Written January 9, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Neil PHouston, TX885 contributionsA long but well built ans maintained boardwalk through the mangroves. Not much to see or many animals but plenty of mangrove trees ans birdsWritten January 18, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - yosaraluBogota, Colombia8 contributionsIt could be a nice visit, but there is a "guide" outside asking for money to visit the pond. The storytelling of the guy is so bad, that it made me lose the interest for pay and visiting the place. It is also a lonely place, some locals say there are drug dealers there.Written September 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NicholePalmerKissimmee, FL111 contributionsIt's a cool place and was definitely a good photo destination but it was way over crowed and confusing. Venders trying to sell you everything under the sun and it's a fight to get a spot to stand near the blow hole. With a little more organization I think it could be a much better tourist stop. I did get an amazing coconut drink! So, there is that! lolWritten February 18, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jose VNaucalpan, Mexico682 contributionsThey have converted a dinked cave in a small attraction where a house of terror is the main attraction. - Marcella-MTLMontreal, QC85 contributionsThe visit of this site was included in our tour. Its a simple park outdoors with a lot about the history explained. Its why I say if you like history, this place is for you. Its about a 45 minute tour. The guide is excellent, he explains very well. Some of the people there make animals out of tree branches, quite original and artistic! There's also a dance show with tyipical music.Written January 29, 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Paula na Estrada da VidaBrasilia, DF420 contributionsThe trip is rough, the ship shakes a lot, but it was easy to buy the tickets online and everything was well organized. - Antonia VMelbourne, Australia89 contributionsWe didn't actually use the Spa services we stayed at the Dream Spa property. However I can't find it listed to write a review but simply had to write something to show our appreciation :)
We had difficulty finding accommodation last minute as we were unhappy with our existing accommodation. We had nearly given up when we enquired at the Cocoplum resort and they kindly walked us down the Road to chat to Carmen who owns the property.
We were so excited... great location in San Luis right on the beach in a beautifully designed beach house that was clean and homely and a saving grace. Also extremely reasonably priced for what we'd been seeing thus far for hotels/resorts.
Staying here made our holiday and experience of San Andres unforgettable.
Thank you Carmen for your beautiful property.Written August 4, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
