#1 of 4 Museums in Clarkesville
Wonderful, unique pottery shop that is housed in an historic building (former grist mill) overhanging a river with a back porch for fish feeding (and a shelf of discounted pottery items, too).
There is a good array of pottery by local artists as well as from farther away and on weekends quite often there is a working potter doing a demonstration.

Enjoyed watching the potter and looking at all the wonderful pieces of useable art.
Throughout this house, with beautiful wood floors, there are finished pottery pieces on display.

The museum has a real personal feel to it, as there are tons of artifacts from the soldiers - I felt as though I was looking through the soldiers closets and at their treasured war belongings.
The Currahee Military Museum celebrates the lives and contributions of the 6000 "Toccoa Men" who trained on Currahee Mountain, outside of Toccoa, GA in the northeastern part of the state, during World War II.
