Being able to be so close to the cages. The cages are large and the animal can "hide" from observers.
They neuter or spay the animals. There is an excess of wild animal being held as pets. They rescue

The only reason I am giving this just 4 stars is it didn't appeal to us adults.

If we had children with us, it looked like a great place to let them explore the water. It seemed shallow in the swimming area and there are great picnic spaces and a playground.

If you decide to not pack a lunch, they have a little cafe on property as well.

It cost us $5 to enter.

Seems like the whole area goes to watch the sunsets at the park. It’s simply exhilarating! The people are friendly.

I always enjoy a quiet walk through this wonderful, ever changing garden. I like to see the great inspirational types of plantings and sometimes just sit & read. This time I met my sister there and we had a really nice visit. They have a good website with hours, location, events and maps, including a scavenger hunt.

Went kayaking and saw several mantee. Beautiful water ways with several little cove areas. Water was calm and clear. Good and easy kayak launching area . Enjoyed some fishing on the docks across the road. Lots of bites

The lake is the worst part of park. Overgrown with Lilly pads and grass. A long fishing Boardwalk but you can get hung up a lot. Not a scenic lake view here. The pavilions at the park are stellar. Well maintained, big and can protect from weather. Many spaced out around the park. Big open area for baseball, bring volleyball, soccer, basketball hoops. Roads well maintained with primitive camp sites cleared out and good sized for tent camping. Playgrounds big and equipment spaced around park. Some kind of elaborate kids train setup that is a huge amount of track. It is impressive with that train station area was not running. Hiking trails through the train area. Large trails on opposite side of park going through wilderness very cool only the path leads you to anything having been there. Great place to picnic, hang or hike. There is a boat launch but again the lake is the least appealing or useful part of park.

Beautiful hiking through palms and ferns. Saw lots of birds. Best part was the manatees. Had an observation tower. Bathroom s available. Parking was free but goes to $10 in March. There was a small boat ramp and some folks were fishing there

First time going, saw Alter Eagles…the band was amazing, but the playhouse was also fabulous…love the people, the set up, atmosphere, stage, I could go on and on…been wanted to check them out for a while, so glad I finally did…I almost hate to tell everyone how great it is, might be harder to get tickets lol

I've been playing on this field for 6 years it's reasonably well taken care of given there are also football and soccer fields along with walking paths there too. It also has some exercise stations in addition to the walkways.

Who doesn't love Maceys when you aren't American?! Always great sales to be had . H & M and other 'young adult' stores. Classic American mall.

I initially became aware of this ranch through an ad on craigslist. The owner, Hal Valentine, goes above and beyond to ensure that you have a great experience. Our group consisted of two adults and three children aged 16, 15 and 6. Everyone had a great time and was able to learn a lot about horses and the trail riding experience.

The road coming in is rough. Dirt, potholes, uneven and beware standing water it hides some deep holes. Once in park you can see where it is maintained. Small playground for little kids. Trails are not marked great but can't get lost. The Ryals Branch trail is down. Can see where a bridge is gone and for long time. To bad looked cool if they would bring back. The bridge trail is highlight where there is observation area of the old great tree. The other path is excellent taking you through the swamp. It dead ends on a work road so follow to road turn and go back. One bathroom at entrance. A hike on every trail with some recovering is 3 to 3.25 miles roughly. Worth visit but road is something.

This was an amazing tour! Our guide Alexis
was extremely knowledgeable about the local
wildlife and was eager to answer all of our
questions. We saw a lot of birds, quite a few
manatees, and even dolphins! One of the
dolphins even swam right by me in the clear
kayak! We started up river first and then came
back down river which was very relaxing and
peaceful. I highly recommend this tour company. There were very professional from booking the experience to the tour.

I got there early. As a tourist I wanted to get to see all the attractions, however the water slides were closed for the season. The boat ride, ranger show, and mermaids were all good. The beach has chairs and the water is crystal clean (Weeki Watcee River) for swimming. I loved it. Great value - all included with $13 admission (which might be the off season rate)
