Wonderful stained glass windows, and amazing floors as well, the church is steeped in history, it is well worth putting St. Mary's on your itinerary when visiting our wonderful town.
The last surviving medieval Church in central Shrewsbury, it is filled with interesting treasures, including a memorial to Admiral Benbow - a name familiar from 'Treasure Island.'

Lovely place and the lavender beds smell divine, so peaceful and the places to sit were just at the right points of interest to soak up the information, well done English Heritage.
Impressive ruins of this once immense priory, a visit is a must for anyone who wants to understand Shropshire better.

A little out of the centre of town but easy walk arounf town walls or from Quarry.
The church has amazing stained glass and is worth visiting for that alone if possible.

It is light and open and is well preserved, although the Victorian stained glass detracts from the architect's original vision.
Very much of the stained glass here fell victim to acts of vandalism, including from the puritans, over the years but, as you walk in, you cannot fail to be amazed by the glorious east window.
