Not to be missed - an incredible collection of art work. circus memorabilia and history, unique architecture - all in a delightful setting. Ample parking, lots of helpful and friendly staff, ample water fountains/restrooms. To really appreciate all The Ringling has to offer, would suggest a full day or perhaps two. Lots to see and savor. A real gem. Looking forward to a return visit.

Needed a walk after the long day of traveling and happened into the gardens. Paths are well-manicured and marked. The views are spectacular and the interactive exhibits well done. I especially liked the packing shed! A friend who accompanied us is a docent at the gardens -the place is rich in history and well worth a visit.

We seniors thoroughly enjoyed the eco boat tour! Well organized, narrated by marine biologists, hands on with sea life, brief walking tour of an island. Maybe too long and slow for young children but
School age and up would be good. Pontoon boat was covered from sun but be prepared for wind. Mote is an amazing place to explore. I wish we had done the aquarium too. Gotta give a shout out to the boat captain too.

We visited St. Armands Circle a couple of times during our recent visit to Sarasota. Great shops, met nice people and some great food. Parking is at a premium so be patient as you look for a spot. Lots to see. It rivals Beverly Hills and is worth the trip over the bridge.

Wow the volunteers here were really helpful and friendly. Loved all the great information they gave us on the history of the mansion. It was like stepping back over 100 years. Loved the attention to detail on all the outside brick and to still see how it was preserved inside was amazing. Well worth the 10 bucks! Best tour we went on in Florida.

Ian caused a massive amount of flooding, damaging a great deal of the park. It is closed indefinitely, so be sure to check their website before visiting.

This is not your typical museum. It instantly brought a smile to my face-there is so much art to absorb inside & out. A volunteer greeted us at the door to explain the history. Worth a visit yet only open limited hours (1-4 pm) Thursday through Saturday/November thru May

Your have to walk the village if you come to Siesta Key. Best selection of shops for t shirts, things to take home and don't forget about the Gelato. Best Gelato ever.

The safest place by far to ride your bike in Sarasota. Old railroad tracks converted to bike and walking trail. Never crowded when we've gone. Extended from Venice to downtown Sarasota. Sarasota's wisest investment in infrastructure that caters to locals and visitors alike.

I went to this beautiful park with our Kindergarteners. So much to discover. We took a long hike along a winding path to a lovely clearing where the children could wade in the water and discover shells, jelly fish and mangrove seed pods. We had our snack out there and then hiked back down the path to discover the beach where the children found many different shells and cooled down along the edge of the water. We spent 6 wonderful hours there. There is also a bigger beach right by the bath house, which might be a good choice for people who can't walk too far.

Great place to go with the kids and the family. Enjoy a few hours feeding the Liger and the other animals. Stay for the bird or tiger show.
