This park is right by the water and has wonderful pathways through luscious vegetation and plenty of benches for seating along the way. Definition worth a visit.

This beach my not be your cup of tea, but it might be your can of Bud. Rules are relaxed and weekend can get a little crazy. I prefer this beach on weekday afternoons to go paddle boarding. If you are snobbish, offended easily by others with differing views on life and think your way of life or view of the world is the only correct one then you may want to find a different beach to go to on weekends for sure. If you are ok sharing the beach with Redneck trucks and Latin immigrants and local Kayakers, Fishermen, and people just out to enjoy themselves you will find the freedoms exercised on this beach refreshing. Having your car handy for picnics is a plus but unfortunately you better check for dog poop before you layout your blanket. No real services here but Getaway Restaurant and Bar is within a reasonable walking distance or just drive your car down the rough sandy access road.

The trail has recently closed indefinately due to structural problems and there are a lot of upset bikers. They are not sure if it will be repaired and reopened but I wouldn't bank on it. There is a small portion still open to foot traffic on one (maybe both) ends that can be used for fishing.

We come here every so often to pick up a curbside delivery lunch from a local restaurant and take our chairs to have a picnic in the park with a beautiful, unobstructed view of Tampa Bay. It's a very large area where there is no problem for social distancing and easy, free street parking.

The very wide sidewalk that runs along the seawall is great for walkers, bikers, bladers, joggers, etc. and everyone respects each other. Also, the City has markers on the sidewalk so in case of emergency you can call the number listed and give them the marker number so they know exactly where you are.

Park has picnic tables, benches and plenty of shaded trees as well as open areas for playing catch. Everything is spaced apart so you can feel safe during these times. All with a beautiful view of Tampa Bay and our new Pier.
