- Tea W1 contributionOur family really enjoyed our sunset sail during Nights of Lights. Seeing the sunset and then lights switch was absolutely MAGICAL. The staff was friendly and accomodating and spent time chatting with us and letting our 4 year old pretend to steer the ship. They played Christmas tunes and gave out candy while we enjoyed the lights. - Greg B8 contributionsWhat an incredible day fishing with Captain Al. First we netted our bait on the first 2 attempts then off to fish. Captain Al new exactly where to go to find the fish. Caught our maximum allowance in 4 hours with our prize catch a 44 inch 38 pound King Mackrel! His deck hand Ethan was also great. Assisted us in reeling in our catches and filet our fish when we got back on shore. Great day fishing off the St Augustine shores. Great range of fishing and camping gear, kayaks, bait and clothing. - mike b2 contributionsThe best fishing charter we have experienced in years. Perfect weather. We did the 6 hour charter. CAPT Alex runs a very efficient charter from a very clean boat to the equipment provided for fishing. We were a small group of three with plenty of room to move around. Caught a variety of fish, Vermillion snapper
Trigger, Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, Chocolate Chip Porgy, Alamo Jack and yes lots of red snapper that were released. Both CAPT Alex and his deck hand were focused on the customer, fish removal, baiting and repositioning the boat for better fishing. CAPT Alex knows where to fish! Worth the money and time. Was talking to owner- they had to retire some of their older boats (see other reviews...) and have at least 1 very nice newer 20' pontoon with a 90hp motor on the dock now.

I would recommend at least some boating experience to rent a boat anywhere in St Augustine. There are multiple rivers meeting at the inlet, with tides, larger boat traffic, lots of bridges, and several large shoals to avoid.
overall good experience. lots of great places to check on from the water. - Departure240172600072 contributionsWe had family in for the week and Bart took me, my wife, her sister and her sister's husband out for a 4 hour kayak trip on the Guana River. This is the straight scoop - Bart is a fantastic guide and the trip was awesome!! We caught 25 fish, mostly spotted sea trout including some big ones, and took 8 home with us to fry up and they were delicious. Bart had great peddle kayaks for all of us and all the gear and bait we needed, we just showed up ready to fish. He knows exactly where to go and the first fish was caught 10 minutes after we started. If you're looking for a knowledgeable guide that makes it fun and productive, and is just a really nice guy, get in touch with Bart. The day before our scheduled trip, he recommended that we postpone our trip by a day because of weather--which was definitely a good call. He took us to several spots, the first of which had so much redfish action that we caught our take-home limit almost immediately. Capt James is very friendly, personable, and patient, which we greatly appreciated. The fishing locations, in and along the marshes, are also beautiful. We had a great time and got bags of fish filets to take home. Us and the kids had a great time and cant wait to go again. - LP148Miami, FL112 contributionsThis is by far the best boat and crew that I have ever experienced in all of my 47-years. Hands down, the best time fishing. This crew is more than capable of hooking large fish again and again and again and again. They do it with ease, sometimes hooking 2, 3, or 4-lines at a time, and managing to keep them from crossing, all while guiding you on how to best catch these big boys. Thank you to Jimmy and Chris for making this day beyond incredible. BTW - I cannot recommend the 12-hour charter enough. - Jill W32 contributionsAugust 2023 - We chartered the Jodie Lynn I for an 8 hour off-shore trip during our family vacation. We couldn’t have had a better experience with Captain Tyler & Mate Corey!! They were extremely personable & knowledgable and we had a great time hanging with them all day! In total we caught over 40 fish (grouper, trigger fish and snapper)!!! The keepers were fileted by Tyler & Corey in front of a fun crowd on the dock! There is even a dock bar & restaurant at the marina!
