Was talking to owner- they had to retire some of their older boats (see other reviews...) and have at least 1 very nice newer 20' pontoon with a 90hp motor on the dock now.

I would recommend at least some boating experience to rent a boat anywhere in St Augustine. There are multiple rivers meeting at the inlet, with tides, larger boat traffic, lots of bridges, and several large shoals to avoid.
overall good experience. lots of great places to check on from the water. Booking and getting on the water was very easy. Jet ski was fast at close to 60mp, with great sound system. Lake george is very still water and plenty of room to explore springs and wildlife, we did the 4 hour rental and had plenty of gas left over. Renegades is a cool spot to hang at the tiki bar after and the have a full liqor store. Daniel, our ‘guide’ showed us a little beach area then let us rip!) was amazing. Our 1- hour excursion was the highlight of our St. Aug trip. Even got to cruise along down downtown and the fort.
