Ad a family with tweens, we loved this museum. We were lucky enough to have a guided tour from a real pirate! The knowledge he had about pirates was amazing. He taught us so many interesting facts. Like.... pirates never burrowed their treasure and why we know that. There were so many things to see that even after the tour, we went back through. A must stop on your trip!

The most interesting thing to us was the history of the building being a former luxury hotel. The pictures and the artifacts were fascinating. We spent a couple of hours there and enjoyed every minute.

It wasn't on my bucket list but as a golf, TV, and Americana enthusiast it should have been. I hope everyone gets a chance to see the many areas golf has impacted our world.

Staff was very helpful and friendly. The torture museum was interacting and had an audio that you can listen to on your phone in whatever order you please. The microscopic art was surprisingly cool.

Costs $10, but they offer discounts for military, teachers, students and families. It is a guided tour that is around 30 min long. They have the house set up in different time periods so you can see how the people lived there in the various times. It is on the far end of town from most of the things to do, but it was worth it for us.

Friendly staff, neat exhibits, took us about 45-60 minutes to walk through. This is the original Ripley's where the show was filmed!

I revisited the Potter Museum since I remember it from my childhood. The realistic eyes convince you the models are watching you. Each figure has a card with a summary of their life and how they died. A little smaller than I remembered. Pleasant staff and a fun experience.

Full disclosure: I turned off the audio tour after the second stop, preferring to just walk through without it.

This atmospheric house is not fancy by any means, but seems very historically accurate. My favorite part was viewing the second and third stories. I believe the docent said the third story was just recently opened to tour.

This is well worth a stop, especially to get an old Florida feel.

Well-designed museum. Just awe-inspiring history of Black Americans in St. Augustine.

St Augustine was the site of many civil rights protests.

    Don't miss this museum. Fascinating!

This tour is conducted by a live person and took us about 30 minutes. The guide was well informed and shared some interesting information about the house and the generations of people that had lived there and the changed they each made to the dwelling. There were also some lovely "grounds". They offer free parking right next to the building. As seniors we paid $7.00 each and felt it was a worth while tour.

One needs a real guide here to get 100% the feel of this tour. Highly recommend at Christmas time. Nicely decorated. Wonderful artifacts.

Walking by it without going in for years! Today I had time, and my 29 yo daughter and me décided to go in! What a nice place. We have been guided by a nice gentleman. For sûre this was not a busy day so we got plenty of time to visit, no pressure by people. This is actually a very nice muséum and free! I gave a donation to help them continue but there was no pressure asking for it at all.

What a great tour from the oldest women in St. Augustine (not really…just joking). She was awesome, and gave us a great tour with great stories all around the house. A must-see if you are in St. Augustine. Yes, it’s a ‘tourist trap’, but it is worth it as we generally hate those ‘traps’ that are not worth it.

This was a cool art display. Such tiny works of art in the eye of the needle or on a grain of rice. Very unique gallery. Definitely recommend.
