The incredibly dedicated staff were knowledgeable and very friendly to our group. The unpaid volunteers do it all and appear to be happy to do even more for the animals they care for. It was patently obvious that our guide Tracy, was not just a tour guide but also a loving caretaker of a spectacular array of animals. Her knowledge of each animal’s history and particular traits was indeed impressive and added so much to the experience. The excellent care and living conditions provided by the staff was exemplified by the engagement, and obvious well-being, of all of the resident animals. Lions and Tigers and Bears, oh my! - Deborah HPunta Gorda, FL16 contributionsOur granddaughters (ages) 20 & 15 years old) are visiting from Missouri and of course we want to entertain them but, also provide same educational experiences. We took them to our treasured Military Museum in Punta Gorda, Our friend Ned greeted us and gave us a great introduction to the museum. Of course, my husband and I had already experience the museum, but not recently. Geez, were we impressed at the growth of information and inter-active opportunities it offers now. The Flight Simulators are Awesome! There is always an expert guide with years of flying experience to walk you through the manuvers. We had virtual reality experiences of parachuting, a major rescue and, shooting down the enemy from an airplane plus a few others. We had some virtual target practice using and imagelike terrorists. The exhibits from every war and conflict of our USA were both heart wrenching and inspirational. I suggest everyone go and experience our military history and support the Military Museum.

You will be able to touch and see a few of the bigger lizards up close. Totally worth it! The handlers are super friendly and knowledgeable. I didn't know there were so many species of palm trees!
