My wife and I went here based on hotel staff recommendation. $6 per car to get in. We talked for about 20 minutes to a volunteer to get the lay of the land - one side bay, one side ocean. Uncrowned beach, dolphins in the water, nice walks on the beach. There are places before entering to pick up stuff since on site store was limited. This is a must visit place.

Came down to stay with relatives who have a vacation beach house in Cape San Blas. They took us out on the bay in their ocean motor boat. What a blast traveling some 25-30 mph on the bay. Nice cloudy day. Rode to the end of the outside beach area and had a picnic. Found a few nice shells for souvenirs. Swam in a deserted beach area. Got a nice suntan and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. If you get to the area, you might try to hire a local to take you out on the bay for an outing. Very fun activity.

Loved the story of how the lighthouse and houses were moved and restored. Way to keep history alive. Love the pictures in the gift shop.

I booked a ride for my 3 daughters for my youngest birthday. This is a wonderful group of people and I definitely recommend for anyone looking for a horse ride on the beach.

Stopped in on a rainy day. $2 to enter, took about 30 minutes. History of the doomed town, railroad, salt mills, hurricanes, yellow fever, and, of course, the Florida constitution. I understand the landscaping was really beautiful before Michael. It still is nice but nothing in bloom in early Feb. Nice displays.

Probably just us, but finding the right trails were a bit confusing. However, we met three people who either work or volunteer there and they were so friendly and helpful. Because it had rained and was cool, it was best to do the trails off of Cape San Blas Road. There is a sign, facing south only just beyond the rocks. There is a rest room and parking. Be sure to do the hammock spur. So pretty.

We visit for a month and this is our first stop. The staff are so helpful with letting us know what will be going on for the month. They were so helpful and we attended almost everything they told us about and are in love with Port ST Joe.

This beautiful lighthouse, which was originally at St. Joseph Point, was moved to its current location in 1979. Since that time the current owners have restored the lighthouse including installation of a replica of the original lantern room. This is the only privately owned lighthouse in Florida. It is a private residence and is NOT open to the public. However, you can view and photograph it from the road end of the driveway. It is well worth taking a look for lighthouse lovers.

My husband and I recently booked a trip through Sand N Spur. Captain Dan was great! He's very kind and accommodating. We booked a morning trip and had never scalloped before. Dan took us to a beautiful spot and showed us around the bay as well. The water was so clear and clean and the scallops were plentiful. We had a wonderful meal that night with scallops and pasta - thanks for the recipe, Dan! I would highly recommend Sand N Spur and we can't wait to return next year for a snorkeling trip.

Our fishing experience with Captain Roger Thomas was first class. We were catching fish within the first 20 minutes of the trip. We had maxed out on reds within the first hour. Spent the rest of the trip catching black drum, trout, snapper and channel catfish. One of the best fishing experiences I've ever had.

We went on the Sunset cruise with our family of 5 - kids 20, 18 and 16 and it was incredible. The boat was clean, spacious and extremely comfortable. The kids spent most of the time on top and we chatted with the captain and first mate. They were great to spend an evening with! They played music that the kids requested and provided us with a smooth cruise with beautiful views. They took lots of pictures from us and gave us an evening we truly enjoyed. We will definitely be using them again and highly recommend them to anyone!

A wonderful experience. The staff at Scallop Cove are great. The man at the bait store spent time telling us what was running and what bait was working. We rented a pontoon. Leaving from the State Park was perfect since we are on the Cape. The young lady that gave us our instructions for the pontoon was so cheerful and upbeat. She made us feel right at home. The pontoon boat itself was very clean and well maintained. One of the best parts of the trip was when a pod of dolphin decided to delight us with their antics. They were rolling and jumping two and three at a time coming completely out of the water. It was spectacular. We also saw a sea turtle. We will definitely be renting from Scallop Cove when we come down in September.
