- chantel fPompano Beach, FL3 contributionsMarvin and Sean that are over the chairs and umbrellas were amazing today. They made my day at the beach worthwhile!Written June 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- GirlSGMGrovetown, GA23 contributionsTheir website said their not open because of COVID-19. Suppose to open back up in November. Sad I didn't get to check it out.Written October 3, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Raymond SDeerfield Beach, FL187 contributionsIf you are interested in avoiding I-95 (highway of innumerable accidents) and want to visit Miami, Ft. Lauderdale or West Palm Beach, this is a nice alternative. There are also many stops in between such as Ft. Lauderdale International Airport, Hollywood, Deerfield Beach, Boca, etc. The rail line is west of the cities mentioned so you would need to find a way from a Tri-Rail station to the downtown of these cities. Tri-Rail can answer your questions on their website. No spectacular scenery if you are into that. Mostly paralleling I-95 or industrial areas.Written March 7, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Gail GoldmanHartsdale, NY1,098 contributionsYou can always find something here from reading glasses to great knishes to beach coverups and even a good Judaica store. If nothing else, it is a great place to take your Fitbit and do some walking.
We visit every time we come to Southern Florida and it never disappoints.Written March 6, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Beachin_Jenn422Seminole, FL217 contributionsWe love casinos! We frequent our home casino (Hard Rock Tampa) almost weekly. We went to Miami for the weekend and actually extended our vacation one day just so we could experience this Ft. Lauderdale gem. It doesn't look like much from the outside, however once you walk in the front door, it feels like you are in a very nice casino. Temperature & ID checks upon first entering the building. The chairs were very nice and updated, super comfy to allow for hours of play time. We were excited to see some of our home casino favorite slots as well as MANY new ones we had never played. Plenty of ticket redemption machines, no need to wait in a long line. The bar is located in the center of the room and we never noticed a long line there either. One con is there is not enough late night dining options. All of the restaurants close at 10pm. There is one small deli-like area that remains open til midnight however it only had pastries, sandwiches, and pizza. Overall, we enjoyed our play time there and will likely be back in the future. We just have to remember to eat before arriving! lolWritten March 21, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Michael & Gail LenneyCarnarvon, Australia72 contributionsFriendly , helpful staff, awesome beers. Nice large area where kids can walk around, play games, play music and not have to sit still the whole time. Can bring food in from other restaurants and be delivered if possible. Just a friendly place to go. We went three times with our family, kids loved it.Written April 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- TDHSNJNew Jersey709 contributionsCool pier that goes out fairly far from the beach. It is a well built pier that is concrete, wide and offers some great views up and down the coast. We went at night and it is lit up nicely.Written March 21, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BeachbumLBISunrise, FL341 contributionssaw Willie Nelson here. didn't now the place existed. comfortable seating, great sight lines, decent bathrooms, good food vendors. Outdoors so it's a problem when it rains but a delight in the evening. located in a city park. parking is disorganized but mostly free so get there early and plan for a jumbled departure.Written April 6, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ChiTown1973Buffalo Grove, IL97 contributionsLots of stalls with everything from home goods to vintage clothing and purses. I enjoyed my time there and the staff was very friendly and helpful.Written December 25, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- scott rSilver Spring, MD564 contributionsAs one might expect - the only guest. On a one person tour you can learn all you want, and the guide was helpful + informative. This is a house that's essentially been preserved 'as was' - or at least recreated as such. I gather it suffered some during its most immediate pre-location period, but not so much that it could not be fairly easily and faithfully replicated here. The transition from 1890's tech to 20thc is interesting (house itself is newer - 1915-ish, but Pompano was not developed, thus, though it was ready for electricity and modern plumbing, people had to do without initially). Furnished with period family items, some clearly pre-date the place, others added through perhaps the 30's. It's a 'slice of life' place rather than 'priceless treasures' and sometimes that makes for a more interesting experience.Written November 26, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ariel2 contributionsWhat a cool place and I never knew it was here. I had stopped in to the new Pompano Cultural Center to have a look around and the cultural director Pamela told me about this place across the street. Since my daughter is an artist I was intrigued and we headed over to check it out.
BaCA as this place is also known has a first floor gallery and on the second floor there are different rooms that the artists rent as studio space and you can go and watch them work. No one was in in residence on our visit but my daughter loved seeing their spaces and the works in progress. Although her work is more digital than fine arts at present I know she would love to have her own space in this beautiful building. There is even a cute coffee house located next door.
On the first of every month they hold Old Town Untapped from 6-9. It's a craft brew and arts festival. Outside of BaCA they have craft brew samples from Odd Breed Ales located across the street, art, and food trucks. Other events that are scheduled can be found listed in a pamphlet that you can get from the Cultural Arts Center across the street. I love that Pompano is moving in the direction of having more arts. The director of arts told me that there are actually four venues for the arts in Pompano now as well as a newly created cultural arts council. I look forward to seeing what they present and attending great art events in Pompano in the future.Written January 9, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - GGRPompano Beach, FL94 contributionsGreat place to swim laps. Different lengths for all levels. Three different swimming pools. Relax or swim. Beginners or advance. The water is crystal clear and always tempered according to seasons.
The staff is friendly. Get a day or year pass.
Great looker rooms. It was inter to think that you are where the Tequesta Indians are buried. Don’t plan on taking the water taxi they cancel the stop and don’t let you know until you call and they say they are NOT stoppingWritten March 12, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Trish WMcMurray, PA917 contributionsThis is a beautiful theater where there are absolutely no bad seats. Unfortunately, we did not care for the musical we attended but would not be discouraged from coming here again.Written February 26, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- SL50502020State College, PA9 contributionsI was visiting with my son and his girlfriend who are new to the area and are looking for a church. We attended last weekend and loved the sermon on Trash Talk. I would have given 5 stars but the music was way too loud (we like loud music but it hurt our ears)
We felt very welcome after visiting the welcome tent and it seems like there are some great church groups to join in.Written February 15, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
