Margaret Albritten is a wonderful artist. Some of the paintings are by her son. An eclectic selection of store are available. A very fun place to go.

First, the 1-* review seems like it's for another place. The new place is little small, but loaded with all kinds of art, trinkets, tchotchies, sometimes with a touch of non-corny whimsy. My last visit yielded a large brass turtle bowl and a painted wood fish, both pleasantly priced. The owner is very friendly and talkative, not over your shoulder or selling. Love the place, was checking if they're open Sundays, and saw a chance to spread the word.

This is a great location to rent a boat and see the barrier islands. It is very close to the beaches and the intercoastal. The boats were in great shape and everything worked. The staff was nice and took their time giving us information and also checking out the boat.

A few days before we rented a boat from Fisherman’s Village. The boats were beat up and the distance from the barrier island was one hour.

If we had another day in town we would rent another boat from Gasparilla marina. The people are very professional and the boats were very nice. The rental location is a little bit hard to find. It’s in back of a waterfront restaurant all the way at the end of the dock. Make sure you get a parking pass from the office to park in this lot.

Wherever you end up renting from make sure you go the day before to look at the boat yourself. Make sure you pick out the boat that you want. Look on the chart and make sure you know the sites you want to see and ask how long it would take to get there.

There isn't much in terms of retail businesses on Little Gasparilla Island, so if you are in search of souvenirs you'll definitely want to stop here.

It's pretty easy to find once you figure out the winding roads on the island. The main road goes north / south, and the side roads go from the main road to either the bay or the ocean side of the island. Fun to explore by golf cart.

You basically follow the main road north, continue past the animal sanctuary sign (I don’t think there’s really an animal sanctuary here, it's just a sign posted on someone's home). Soon thereafter, you’ll soon see several purple pillars and then a large boat on land (you can’t miss it) and if you've gotten that far, you’ll know you are nearing Gone Fish Inn Gallery (Dock #5). The gallery sells custom jewelry, beach bags, t-shirts, postcards, and an abundance of artwork from the artist in the flesh.

We were able to negotiate pricing on some incredible custom sharks tooth jewelry. The owner also framed some artwork for us including one of her own maps of LGI -- an island map is our customary souvenir of every island we visit.

Custom artwork is also available upon request, so stop in early during your island visit and stop back later in the week to pick up all your framed artwork. See the pic I submitted of framed artwork I purchased here.

Lots of one-of-a-kind goodies to peruse here. Definitely a must-see.

I would like to thank Captain Keith for the awesome time we had on the water with him. There was myself, my son and two grandsons. He showed great patience with the grandsons and me! LOL! He put us on lots of fish. We probably caught about fifty fish that day and was able to take a couple home for lunch which was delicious. I would recommend him highly for the novice or experienced fisherman that want to catch fish.

Captain Chris was great for a family night out on the water. We booked for a Christmas light tour through the canals in Punta Gorda, but the best part of the trip was seeing the dolphins play in the sunset on the way over to the canals. Our 7 year old twins loved it and Chris went above and beyond by circling back so we could watch the dolphins jumping right next to the boat. The boat had plenty of space for the 5 of us to spread out. Captain Chris was very knowledgeable and his prices are very reasonable! We will most definitely be booking with him again soon. Call or text him today to reserve your spot!

Captain Jack and Captain Brain were amazing. They took time to explain what we were seeing in a way that both adults and kids enjoyed the day. We had a birthday girl with us and they went out of their way to make it a very special day for her! Can't recommend them enough.

We had a very good tour with Dan - slow and relaxing pace. Got to learn a lot about the mangroves and life around the Key.
Mangrove tunnel to a secret lagoon was the highlight.

The glass bottom kayaks are a little tricky to handle- different from standard kayaks- wider and not as easy to paddle straight. The clear bottom doesn't necessarily give you any better view of what's down below. The water is pretty clear. We had fun tooling around and paddling to a sand bar. Once you get into the main boat traffic you are rocked pretty hard by their wakes so it's easier paddling to stay inside the sheltered area. That said, once you are there, you can watch birds, and we saw 3 dolphins. Overall a nice afternoon but a little pricey
